1 Ence Win IEM Dallas > Loose to Virtus Pro on LAN ( cannot smash them game went to overtime ) 2 Vitality Win Paris Major > Loose to Imperial on LAN ( clean 2-0 on LAN, got fucking smashed ) 3 Device drops 1.40 at IEM dallas as Astralis make Quarterfinals > Looses to Faze and COL in close games but ends event with 0.8 rating I have been following CSGO esport since cluj napoca, These past 5 months are the WEAKEST the sport has ever been.

Depends on what you mean by "skill". Team coordination and utility is way more complex and requires far more dedication than CS. Plus CS has existed for decades, while Valorant is just a couple years old, it's only natural that the overall skill level is higher, bc there are players like s1mple who have played CS for 12+ years.
2023-06-09 18:23
0/8 why do u think washed bots in cs go to valorant lol

objectively bad players are beating objectively good players - must be because skill is higher
2023-06-09 19:06
if multiple teams have the chance to win an event, it's more competitive, so the word weak makes no sense in that regard.

I prefer this randomness and madness than the era when Astralis was winning every single event and everyone knew that it was impossible for someone else to win the event.

cs has been way better to watch lately. Love all the upsets and tier 2 /3 teams shitting on complacent tier 1 teams.

no they are not complacent i think whats happening is that tier 2 players play different style of cs than tier 1 players in practice and officials before when these styles clashed, tier 1 players always won. nowadays you get a team like into the breach make it into playoffs

exactly. And tier 1 teams aren't taking the time to anti strat these teams and learn how to beat them. They are getting complacent only playing each other....
2023-06-09 21:27
nah, I prefer it like this. No one needs to see the same teams choke and win. That's how shit gets stale.

you clearly never watch sports
2023-06-09 17:53
3 individual matches = blanket statement of current CS situation and all teams are the same. Meanwhile Heroic consistently making deep runs in big events, NiKo hit a record 30-4 in one half on Ancient, Gamerlegion Monte and ITB make playoffs through grinding and innovation. But CS is bad because of 3 games….

The better performing teams are reaching deeper into tournaments, just because the “top tier 1” teams aren’t making it doesn’t mean the scene is weak. Greater diversity in CS is a good thing, we don’t want the rest of the world mirroring what happens in NA. Your flag, my flag.

Which clearly shows the scene is getting stronger, because now the gap between T1 and T2/T3 is far closer because of the work these teams are putting in. You’ve argued yourself out of your original post.

no in my opinion every sport needs to have stratified clearly separate skill tiers if they are not present, then its not a sports like pattern every dude is super good, every dude is messi / lebron its bad for the sport to have such a pattern

What you are suggesting is literally NA CS right now, you have the top tier teams in their own zone that dominate the rest. However, when playing against other innovative regions they get smashed, That kind of insular approach results in stagnation and complacency because each team in their designated tiers will not improve. How do you not understand this?

"because each team in their designated tiers will not improve" this is the fault in your thinking, they do improve and push the game. messi plays on the highest division of football, lebron plays on the NBA ( 400 players allowed only ) not lower divisions the sport operates and gets pushed further as players who are getting good and getting bad get recycled

ummm, 22 years and going strong CS is the only game you can compare to sports we also have the most different divisions ( ESEA, ECL, Pro League .. etc ) we will go for 22 more years.
2023-06-09 18:22
Please explain how EG, Col and Liquid are improving and pushing the game? EG have won something like 3 or 4 maps in 20 odd Bo3 matches in the last 4 EPL group stages combined. Explain how Osee, the top T1 AWP on the best team in NA, is so awful and cannot cope against tier 2/3/4 CIS or EU AWPers?

-vitality just won the most important event of the year - you gotta understand they they don't care as much about the next tournament, prepare less or just are a bit "hangover" -astralis players got a bit rumbled by the staehr news - especially alktez probably -ence had a relatively easy run in dallas + same arguments as for vitality- this tournament means nothing to them as they already qualified for pro league

And CS2 will have an even lower skill ceiling with the bigger hitboxes and worse movement Btw most of these CSGO upsets happen because all it takes for a team to win a game is their AWP abuser to be on a good day. The gun is busted and can 1v9, most games are AWP diff in some way, the other 8 players are supporting cast to the 2 AWP abusing wannabe anime protagonists
2023-06-09 18:20
You’re completely right but for some reason people deny it. Hopefully CS2 will shake things up a bit.
