it's so laughable how closed the BLAST circuit is that either coL or Imperial are guaranteed a top 4 finish at a tier 1 event, one with a stand-in and the other with a dead roster with FalleN inevitably leaving on the break sure we've had these mickey mouse events in the past with the DreamHack Zowies and shit but still

it is a shame and it were deserved wins, but saying that someone came top 4 at a massive mid-season event usually means that they had to battle through matches and matches here everyone who wins the opening BO3 is in playoffs and whoever wins the winners' match is in top 4

I dont think this is a massive event. And if you win a BO3 in the group stage you are in the playoffs, its the same for every team

It's massive because It's tier S, it has a large prize pool (0.2m to the champion) and blast finals ticket. Huge event, even if it's a 8 teams partnered event.

coL is replacing NAVI but i agree the circuit and championship format sucks, blast events aren't so great besides World Final But as a fallen fan would be amazing to see him winning so idc anyways lol

Imperial is deserved top 4 tho, they aren't partners and had to go through Showdown. Complexity: Lost 3 Bo3s in Spring Groups Lost 1 Bo3 in NA Showdown Lost 1 Bo3 in Spring Final And could still finish Top 4 lol, what a joke of a format
