honestly during warm weather i tend to focus on longer distances at a low pace. Otherwise it feels impossible

1 year with 3 months break because I didnt know that my peroneal tendon pain is caused by magnessium deficit For your running just increase distance you run every week by 10%, take rest days, Im currently doing 40k/week

Dont try to run the same distance over and over to get faster, its counterproductive If you do strides like I did in the 2nd screenshot but slower and maybe with 40s rest after some easier longer run you will get better in no time

8:30/mile is my easy pace, you can get towards that easily One workout I can tell you is 10x100@26-29 seconds, followed by 40s rest Just find out what works for you, you can try to do 3x1-2mi@9min/mi pace with 2-3min rest

Running long is easier than running fast, but if you wanna lose weight its ok for the beginning, just know that if you focus on 1/2-marathon then you wont be able to move your speed much

you should train just by hiking with a big backpack, and you can train your climbing skills too but I don't because Mont Blanc is not technical. And you should get a good cardio so any long sessions of low intensity cardio is good. 0 intervals Personally I just do long bike rides and gym sessions mainly focusing on back and core because where i live hikes are too flat and i love cycling too much not to do it.
