tbh tel aviv is my most hated city in israel lol, i just can't stand the noise, all the people, the electrical scooters and the people's mentality there. i live in a small city in the north so tel aviv's style is quite the opposite for me. but i guess that tel aviv is a great city for tourists- it's very progressive, quite comfortable, and got a lot of stuff to do. i think jerusalem is far better for foreign tourists tho. important for all the religions, a beautiful city, and the air there just feels special. a lot more impactful, diverse and overall better! israel overall is great for tourists, we also have interesting places like the masada fortress, the dead sea, the golan heights, eilat, the kineret lake. and pretty much the whole country. both for people who want to visit religious places and for those who'd like to roam around the country and just visit places.

Tel aviv is like slovenia, the rest of israel is like divided to the balkans (obv in terms of internet memes).
2023-06-10 22:55
yea im also not into Tel Aviv, alot of ppl like tel aviv i just like the more simple stuff this place is too much for me. the air is also not as good as other places thanks to higher polution rate over there, and driving there is also hell and no parking spots unless you go for undeground paid parking lots and the general weird vibe there i guess lol

budget wise, is Jerusalem less expensive than Tel Aviv for vacation? or is there a 3rd option?
2023-06-11 00:05
1 reply
lol my brother and parents probably can be a good help but im less informed, i do think Jeruslame is less expensive but im not sure because Jerusalem is also a big draw for tourists so its laso kinda expensive i guess. I mean if you go to other cities around those cities and then hop on via a train or a bus i guess it should be signiificantly cheaper, also you can rent a guest house in the north or something as well and travel there and then go for a day or 2 to visit the center(TLV and Jerusalem) again via public transportation. But im not the most informed person top tell you about prices but i guess its pretty easy to check

Florianópolis, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre. Best cities imo, beautiful, lot of stuff to do and good people and security
2023-06-10 05:03
The best choice for you may be Florianópolis, Balneário Camboriú and Porto Alegre, the three are from the southern region of Brazil where security in general is better, there you will have contact with all kinds of Brazilians, from mega-businessmen from JURERÊ to farmers (southern region of Brazil is very rich in soy plantations and derivatives)

Is South Africa more dangerous than SA Countries like colombia, venezuela etc?

I think so In South Africa everyone lives in homes with fortified electric barbed fences and guns and there are daily blackouts of 12+ hours
2023-06-10 01:07
why you say ZA? I was not very impressed by this country. Huge problems with unemployment, poverty, crime, class differences etc. The country generally feels unsafe, and people are not very welcoming. Everywhere there are fences, barbwire and armed private guards

I can get there by train (around 1h 30m), I go only when I have to I don't spend money there, and use the mid public transport. For me, if I'm gonna pay TLV prices I would rather visit Amsterdam or Hamburg for example. 100% of Americans I met are in love with Tel Aviv, probably they are okay with the NYC/LA level of prices, and like the extreme-liberality vibe of the city.

thieves in Brazil can easily spot tourists and foreigners = they are clueless and act like they are in Ibiza or Cancun = easy to rob if you are well informed and stay alert you should be fine

yes it is possible, if you are traveling to ''non-touristy'' places alone, without a guide or local friend, but it's a good country, we have a good climate, friendly people. I recommend going: Rio de janeiro, Pipa, jericoacoara and maragogi. but if you want to have an experience more similar to our life, I recommend: fervedouro jalapão, lençóis maranhenses and cataratas do iguaçu

like africa and SA are really good to travel and visit to taste food, mood, history and some views. But I don't think there is opportunity to live in there if you are just average person since it's dangerous and poor.
