Since 2018, almost every year haters trying to compare NiKo with some new gen riflers who is living their prime year but all of them disseppear in the next years while NiKo is still on the top. Then haters find a new prime-year star to compare with NiKo. This is the circle.
2018 Electronic
Electronic is one of the best riflers of all time, yet he couldnt manage to beat NiKo on his very prime year.
2019
NiKo was igling for a washed team. He was #11 this year.
2020 Electronic
NiKo was still playing on washed Faze at the beggining of the year. Then he moved to G2 and tried to adapt his new team. They tried a lot of roster changes. This gave electronic another chance to beat NiKo in 2020.
Despite all those stuff and being 2 years younger, Electronic couldnt beat NiKo this time either.
2021 Ax1le - Electronic - b1t
In 2021, haters were so hyped up because they found another prime-time young star rifler b1t. So they can compare him with NiKo. I saw a lot of threads about "b1t > NiKo" in 2021. They really thought b1t is better rifler just because he only hits heads and it looks good xd. Both of b1t and elec couldnt beat NiKo despite Navi getting grand slam and G2 couldnt win a single trophy in 2021.
It was a good year for gambit aswell but young rifler ax1le couldnt beat NiKo.
BONUS: He is not a rifler but new young superstar awper sh1ro couldnt beat NiKo despite baiting (you can check his impact) so much.
2022 - Ax1le
In 2022, 20 years old prime Ax1le managed to beat NiKo in Rankings. He is only 21 now but he is not looking like he will beat 26 years old NiKo in 2023. He and his team are getting worse.
2023 - spinx - frozen
Now haters forgot about ax1le and found another young player who is living his prime year.
Actually i think spinx is the most overrated rival of NiKo.
He is only 0.01 rating above (1.18 vs 1.17) NiKo,
despite being 0.15 impact below (1.13 vs 1.28) of him.
If the year ends like this, i think NiKo already would beat spinx on rankings.
Not so many people talking about frozen but he is the main rival of NiKo this year. He has 1.21 rating but only in 45 LAN maps.
NiKo is also worse than last years. (1.17 rating, 1.28 impact) It's not clear who will be the best rifler this year.
TLDR: Every year haters are trying to find new young star rifler to compare with NiKo. But the names change every year except NiKo. He is the most consistent rifler of all time. And the GOAT Rifler.

Best of all time Yeah Niko has longevity and consistency, but if we are talking about what the pure peak of a rifler looks like I think 2015 Olof really deserves a mention as a rifler, the main statistic that I'd use for Olof are these two facts, in three majors he had a total KPR of 0.83 with a plethora of maps played which shows a massive consistent level of dominance under the highest possible pressure condition and the fact that in 73% of rounds where he got a kill his team won.
The Pure impact that Olof delivered in 2015 has been unmatched in my eyes, he was a pure impact player and dominant at all levels.
Dupreeh is the most decorated player of all time
Coldzera arguably had the best peak of all time
And Niko is the most consistent in terms of longevity
But as for pure impact I'd give it to Olof. I don't care about how much better niko was than olof in 2017,2018 or whatever. For Peak performance from a rifler I think Olof has a serious hat in the ring

Niko is not even the best player in his team (monesy), not even the mvp of the only tournament they won, did not win the major like Spinx, did not perform in playsoff like spinx. His 1.19 rating is illusion, everyone who watches G2 play know that Niko has very low impact.
Its not about telling why spinx deserves more, its more about why Niko would deserve to be ahead of Spinx ??? This guy has done nothing since February except choking and blame teammates

the difference is that niko was on par with him vs top5/10/20 while niko is literally 1.07 vs top5 while spinx 1.23.

You are using big events filter.
"Big events" filter doesnt really count all the Big events. HLTV ranking are based on all tier1 LAN events.
If they would check the stats like you, NiKo had 1.27 rating and 1.42 impact on 2021.

Huh? You're literally proving my point. All the team trophies didn't matter because anyone can see he's nowhere neat s1mple or Niko's level skill wise. Same thing with Spinx, being carried by Zywoo won't change the fact that Niko's better.

NiKo in 2016 player carrying mouz and joining faze. It's a time when hltv rankings gave more importance to team success compared to now.
NiKo in 2017 2nd best rifler and 2nd best player. Even ahead of legend like dev1ce who won major that year.
NiKo in 2018 3rd best player and best rifler. During astralis era and arguably peak s1mple.
NiKo in 2019 in a team where there are lot of changes and he was also igling. Krieg era where good riflers were getting punished. We can see players from 2019 and compare them to after krieg nerf.
NiKo in 2020 best rifler and after 3 awp players. Playing in dysfunctional faze for a short period joining g2 with some role changes and player swaps.
NiKo in 2021 best rifler and peak rifle performance seen from any player. He had longer 1.00+ rating streak than even s1mple. He was putting up carry performances with no bad team. His peak was so good that you could argue he was almost just as good as 2021 s1mple who had 1.43 rating on lan that year.
NiKo in 2022 and 2nd best rifler. Missing out on major but still being in top 5 and this was his worst individual year according to NiKo himself. He also was playing in a team where igl and coach had clashes and he was giving up spaced for m0NESY.
NiKo and dupreeh are the only riflers to make top 20 hltv 7 times and he did 7 times in a row. He has been the best rifler in 2018, 2020, and 2021 and 2nd best rifler in 2017 and 2022. He is the only rifler in history to be in top 5 hltv 5 times and the times he wasn't top in top 5 was during mouz stint and igling in 2019 and krieg era.
NiKo is also the ONLY rifler in counter strike history to be a hard carry. No other rifler has carried like NiKo and they all were doing their best on a good team. Many of them dropped off after their team stopped seeing success but NiKo still continued.
NiKo also changed from passive lurker like blameF/ropz into semi entry role. No other semi entry or entry has been anywhere near consistent as him. He changed his whole playstyle and is playing a playstyle that is selfless and very volatile yet he is the most consistent rifle.
I am fine if you don't consider him to the best rifler or whatever but you can't deny his consistency, carry performances and him reinventing himself over the years

NiKo is suffering from success because he is the only rifler who is supposed to outperform his superstar awper teammate. When electronic or ax1le have a bad game they point fingers at s1mple and sh1ro respectively but if NiKo does good but doesn't win mvp people blame him.

electronic is up there as well but I think ropz has a higher chance because he started being more agro since he joined Faze.

It was a pleasure to witness Niko's 2021 form, not even awpers are close to that level of high impact consistency. 37 maps with rating over 1.0 as a fucking space maker, s1mple has 31 as a star who has all the freedom to bait his entire team.
He's so far above that statistically, it's highly unlikely anyone would ever beat that. It's impossible for riflers, best rifler is at 11 maps.

And its not like its unlucky that he is carrying bots stuck in elo hell. He played on the most stacked firepower team ever - Faze 2017 and now is playing on the most stacked team of 2022-2023, g2. And still the only thing he achieved even playing on the best teams, is ESL minor tournaments and a katowice trophy just this year.

Funny how 2019 didn't count because he was igling (He started igling in 2018 btw) but 2020 does. Well how about both count because niko called around himself and never gave up positions nor space while being and IGL? His IGL style was similar to blameF on coL.
Niko 2019 dip was more than simply igling, it was the krieg + aug. Niko hated the krieg meta and he was omega happy when the gun was nerfed. The krieg basically pulled the skill gap between riflers together which made a lot of people to surpass niko. He couldn't adapt to the new gun individually to keep his top level.
Niko and ropz are both clear of Niko unless somehow Niko gets an MVP on this very tournament with monstrous stats.
Spinx has better stats in all categories bar impact: Better in playoffs, big events and vs top tier opposition
Ropz is better vs top tier opposition and on playoffs.
Niko's rating up until now is on the back of farming group stages, he has 1.1 playoffs rating this year.

At this point you are just hating NiKo for no reason if you think his impact rating is inflated. Maybe when he is having negative kd game then sure but most times he is the most impactful player in the world
He gets very little support in holding his ct position. For example outside nuke. That's impact right there, being able to hold down a large portion of the map with little support.

First of all it's hard to maintain good rating playoffs while entry. Then NiKo is still good in playoffs and he still creates a lot of space and is very selfless since 2022.
NiKo played better when he was igling in 2019 and played worse when he was not igling. He did better when he had more responsibilities. His igling style was selfish at that afaik but case tried to get igls but all were worse than him. He didn't want to be igl.
Krieg era is stupid because many riflers peaked during that and then became significantly worse. Even NA superstar elige peaked #4 but was never had top 10 before or after. There were only a few riflers who surpassed NiKo even in the shitshow faze was in.
Agreed about spinx and ropz.
Agreed about this year playoff rating but take a look at past years also. He was carrying many times in playoffs but also ghosted few times but that was rare.
They are compared because those riflers came, won a major, and disappeared while niko is choking the most important moments. The consistency is useless if you dont deliver in the most important matches, its that simple.
