The arena literally sold out within seconds and they picked a terrible venue without announcing anything. No crowd in quarter finals day as well
Blame Blast, if there was a bigger arena with more USA fans it would have been insanely hype, more than Dallas
I think its sad that there are literally 1-2 events in NA and 1 in SA a year max and then blast didnt make it a big event... wouldve been cool to have a bigger stage and at least the 2 quarters on stage as well
idc where but at least have some big events in NA if you hold events there. Really not worth going to NA for an EPL malta crowd (which is great for epl setting imo)
Presale sold out instantly, Capital One arena would have been free for this weekend, just make it like Elisa Masters Espoo was, big arena but make the tickets cheap & cover up the upper sections and only sell certain sections
Honestly this event feels like some Manager decided that there needs to be a Blast event in DC and then allocated the same budget to the event as if it was in a normal city.
Most of the money is tied up in Hotel costs for Players and Talent. And this highschool gym isn't cheap either.
Edit: I'm saying that DC Hotels are incredibly expensive
What a shame, I see a fuck load of empty seats, yet it was sold out instantly. I live in DC and wanted to go, but couldnt get tickets. A terrible venue they chose and the ticketmaster bots bought up all the tickets immediately
