Liquid DUMBest Changes
 |
Turkey Joper
This roster change is seriously just pure bullshit. They set up a shitty squad. Who is Patsi, who is rainwaker? IGL Yeki? Osee still in the team? I feel sorry for the only NAF and I will continue to support this team just for him, but of course not with the old passion. As a Liquid fan, I would like to thank Elige for her best memories, and I will always support her wherever she goes. Let's GOOO Elijaooo. Finally, I hope they fail and prove to the world that they have made the worst roster change ever!

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
Same I'll root for Naf but not for TL anymore. I hope Elige finds a team and makes them regret this move.

You have to understand that every team is an amorphous identity less international pug-esque team That’s the meta
2023-06-22 23:47
sacrificing long years of their NA history and identity just to sign a random tier3 bulgarian sounds hilarious

i want to see SNAKINDAR getting exposed but also, I want to see Liquid have success, been a fan since 2018 and cannot root for their failure

Lol, well I hope NAF appreciates what the org did for him and Yekindar. NAF wanted to play on an International roster and he got it. Same with the Shox move, he wanted to play with Shox and Liquid wanted to keep NAF happy. I see everyone blaming Yekindar for this and likely rightfully so, but I think NAF's slipping past the criticism here.

Naf wanted to play in EU based roster and he made it quite clear. I don't see where the criticism you mention comes from

Just saying that while people are saying Yekindar is a snake for presumably influencing the org to ditch NA, I think they were amenable to that conversation to keep NAF happy. He probably had a say in it, but I'm just surprised nobody is pointing at NAF as being involved in that decision since he didn't want to keep an NA core either.

i think there is truth to your point as well, NAF slips by when it comes to "being the problem" whereas he definitely is involved to some degree as well
2023-06-23 00:25
I just don't believe NAF is pushing for this. He meant a real EU team, not whatever this fpl / farming partner spots crap is. Unless NAF himself personally says he supports the moves, I assume Liquid is just holding his contract over his head.

Patsi: A former elite CIS prospect who was quite good in his rookie campaign (overshadowed by GOATesy) who has heavily struggled, along with the rest of Team Spirit this season. For reference, while he has struggled heavily in 2023 to the tune of a 0.99 rating, and a 1.07 Impact, in 2022 he dominated tier 2 EU to a 1.13 rating, and a monstrous 1.29 Impact, including a 1.06 rating against the top 20. Rainwaker: A Bulgarian prospect who was on the surprisingly competitive 500 roster this season, posting a 1.12 rating and 1.04 Impact in EU tier2/3 as a support/lurk. If I'm not mistaken he also has some sort of relation to a matchfixing scandal in the past, but I'm unfamiliar with that situation. oSee: Showed massive improvements once nitr0 stepped away from the IGL role, and could potentially continue to flourish under a new IGL. YEKI IGL: It's a big gamble, but it's basically just the NaVi electronic situation. If there were better NA options, I'd say go for it, but Walco, Cynic, and Stan aren't going to cut it in tier 1.

not baiting, i plan to write a long thread about him. i personally think taking a player like him sitting him next to niko hinders niko's development

NiKo isn't developing lol, he reached his ceiling several years ago. M0nesy is the young, developing player.

niko's ceiling is 2021 stockholm and the surrounding big event around that major, it was sustained excellence its 2 years away, not " several years ago " if I am g2 I feel that getting niko back into stockholm form should be the priority but instead they are running a m0nesy development project its like they min-maxed around the greatest rifler known to mankind

Having a top 5 rifler, and top 5 Awper, is better than a top 2 rifler, and a mediocre Awper.

exactly, what you wrote in #15 this kind of approach to counterstrike is a perfectly valid opinion but I would rather see niko MVP major and a niko legacy project that is what stops me from being a g2 fan

Why should G2 care more about NiKo's legacy, than building the best possible roster? NiKo's 1.32's didn't win them anything, m0NESY developing into a true 2nd star did.

because he has given them a good chunk of his career and continues to do so also, building best possible roster and building around one player could mean the same thing if you open your mind to it I just feel that Vitality did right by Zywoo, NAVI did right by s1mple but G2 did not do right by NIko

Vitality and NaVi both added a significant second star (Spinx and Electronic) to their rosters to help ZywOo and s1mple. That is what m0NESY is. The only difference is that the other two guys are Awpers, and were given top riflers, whereas NiKo is a rifler, who was given the best Awp prospect since ZywOo.

you cannot compare electronic to monesy in the same sentence as a "2nd star", hahahah dude, he is a kid he has no depth to his overall game, he is strong firepower guy like b1t in navi ( just headshot monster ) but he has so much to learn spinX was mollycuddled for 6 months to become the second star after the ence acquision by guess who - the greatest coaching staff in csgo history ( zonic and his support staff all have atleast 4 majors now ) monesy does not even have depth of coaches behind him, he is looking around to veterans on his team like niko and this is what happens monesy's game develops his level goes up but at the cost of something else, and that something else hurts niko in the long run

NiKo statistically is right in line with his 2021 performance this year. I don't know why you are trying to develop this weird narrative, but it's just not true.

You seem to just have a hate boner for m0NESY, just like NA. Which is sad.

are they worth ditching your entire fanbase tho?

even then they're sacrificing an entire continent to make international team #1942390544238 im all for total NA death but from an objective standpoint if they were gonna get a t3 bulgarian matchfixer they might as well have picked up swisher or jeorge or someone else instead
2023-06-23 00:20
It sucks but it is what it is, we'll have to see what happens next

im okay with rainwalker in the team, after all he is good during his tenure in SKADE. , But patsi? man is like stewie but much more hatable. Wish Liquid can revert back to NA majority within next year though
