There are absolutely no plans for Destiny 3 and currently Destiny 2 is just losing a lot of player-base.
I still play it but it's monotonous and increasingly more tedious. I've been trying for six weeks to get a pinnacle helmet and even with a second Titan to try and get one, I still can't get one; which affects my prime/exotic engrams and there is absolutely nothing that I can do about it, it's just pure RNG.
Very disheartening indeed.

I unfortunately can't say the same, I didn't play Destiny 1 nor Destiny 2 at launch, I played quite late.
So late in fact that I actually don't think that it is possible to even complete the main campaign anymore on Destiny 2, which is pretty dumb.
