had you actually watched NiP games you'd know that their mirage was easily top5 in the world and the only real CT side weakness was Brollan as the A anchor
the problem was just that mirage was their only consistently good map and everything else was either consistently shit or sometimes okay and other times plain bad

The funny thing is that they still picked vertigo over mirage a lot despite that. So many games felt already half lost already after the map veto. The Apeks game that cost them the playoff spot was a perfect example. In the previous game they picked mirage and beat ENCE 16-7 in it. Then in the next game they for some incomprehensible reason pick vertigo even though mirage is available and Apeks isn't particularly good on mirage either. Like congratz you just lost your own map pick in the veto and now you choke in the second map because of that too (doubt nip would have choked so bad with a 1-0 lead or that Apeks would have had the mental fortitude to make the comeback already 0-1 down in the game).
