this makes 0 sense. pls read more then just the headline. "“Unfortunately, they wiped out 25 years of research,” Michael Ginsberg, Rensselaer’s attorney, told the Times Union. Ginsberg said it will take about $1 million to re-create the research, which explored photosynthesis and could have implications for solar panel development." so to restore 25 years of work, you only need 1mio, not even time, just money? dudes, this is a scam article and a poor janitor.

there are things that are very long-term that can take the better part of our lives to accomplish. imagine you got like 50 thousand generations of some specific bacteria all neatly catalogued and stored in some freezer and then some retard ruins it.

idk one million sounds very conservative for a 20 year research. hours worked on the project, running costs like electricity, acquiring things you need for the experiment, etc.

I dont think you understand what I am saying. you cant buy time, thats my point. even if you give them 1 billion dollars, they still need time, so whats the point of the money? and how should a janitor pay that? all of it makes 0 sense and sound more like they want to get rich fast off of that
