early cs2? cloud9 is a good bet, so is heroic. Navi is my other pick. I just dont think cloud9 will be more dominant than 2021 navi or 2022 faze.

It's not exactly a good comparison. Having star-fraggers in your team doesn't instantly make you dominant, otherwise FaZe Clan and G2 would've surpassed Astralis long ago. Astralis were not a team of star-fraggers (except for Device), they had the best teamwork out of any other team in most recent memory and that is why they were so dominant, not because they were a team if star-players.

At the time there was a tactical gap between Astralis and the other teams, now it is universal knowledge and what you need to win is Individual strength as you can see with Navi era, Faze "era", early 2023 G2 and now Vitality

I don't class them as "eras", just periods of dominance that never attained "era-defining dominance". Still a respectable period of dominance but still nothing like the eras of old. Which is why I'm saying that C9 may be dominant, but it won't be akin to anything like Astralis accomplished, it would more likely be akin to the Na'Vi period of dominant or FaZe Clan's.

It's subject to opinion depending on how others view eras but I only count three: NiP, fnatic and Astralis. The LG/SK dominance is contested to this day, and Na'Vi/FaZe were only dominant for half of the time that the previous teams were dominant for. That's just my opinion, though.

coz there have been teams with better players yet they had failed to perform good. G2 has the better AWP, better Rifle, better entry, better support and even better IGL than the supposed c9 yet G2 has disappeared after the IEM Katowice. Even Navi with perfecto and electronic was barely worse than this c9 and even then they couldnt perform good.

you have to remember that it's not just having star-players, if that were the case it was just putting together a team with Niko, S1mple, Zywoo and you would have the best team ever

i mean my problem is elec as an igl+no true entry fragger+3/4 pretty passive players which can hurt them... +obviously 2 new players with new style of leading so imo it will take them some time OR they will click insantly which definitely can happen(but i dont see that happening tho). time will tell

yeah, no they will not xddd + they will never achieve anything if they play the igl less tactic.They have a lot of potential that s for sure, but a lot of teams had incredibly good players and still never manage to achieve much, including themselves with their Gambit team with prime Hobbit they had arguably the biggest firepower in the world and yet outside of the online shit never manage to win much.

Nope, just exercising my right to critique. I really hope they do achieve their goals, but so far from what they have shown, it will take a lot to change and reach potential top 1. And I view the root of problem in groove and playstyle that he imposes on the team. He is a great coach, and proved that he can raise academy team to top level, but I think that he is not fit to build a winner team anymore.

I'm not saying that no team will dominate in the future, just that we are unlikely to ever see that kind of dominance again for the reasons listed. Astralis was 2018-2019 and we are in 2023 now and still no team has even come close except for Na'Vi and FaZe Clan but both of those reigns lack the length that Astralis dominated for.
