the moment you compare esports to great competitions like NBA you lost the argument lol. this industry is so fucked unlike any other because of the inflated player salaries with minimal returns. not even in league do orgs make good money, the ones that thrive are the ones that have good marketing of their own like G2, the others barely scrape by at best. as far as I'm aware, the only truly profitable region for LoL is China and maybe Korea.

in korea they're viewed as stars and they already have this kpop stan culture which certainly helps in combination with how popular video games are there. here, video games are still seen as something of a loser's hobby and a lot of people grow out of them once they get a job, esports especially

He is a good IGL. He might not be able to go to Valve Events, but he definitely has the ability to nurture talents. I remember following Ghost and Chaos when he was playing, and they became so good. Shame everythin went to shit when he left and Covid and VALULRANT came out.
