He is one of the most intelligent awpers out there. Not on top when it comes to mechanical skill but holy shit his positioning and counter awping is top notch. A top awper still and not slowing down at all. He almost carried astralis to a win today.

u said a lot of good things here, except for him not being mechanically skilled, if u watched the 3 maps today u would also be delusional not to say he is mechanically skilled, he outrifled hunter, jks, m0nesy and even niko at times. His aim is on point, and him being so smart in the game, makes it the perfect combo. And all this is crazy if u think about he had a 1 year break without top tier cs. HE IS ACTUALLY THE GOAT. (i bet all no other players could take a 1 year break and come back even better than before (or as good) with no drop off at all

Yeah you definitely have to be mechanically very skilled to be at the very top BUT you could argue his brain is the big reason he has been on the top for so long and could make the return. His performance is not so greatly based mechanical skill and form, because thats just more inconsistent. Device can be extremely good even if his form is not that good.

Indeed what makes device great is his game sense but if you look at his fpl games he is actually insanely good mechanically. On official matches he just never goes for those risky flashy plays.

I didn't say he wasn't mechanically skilled just that he isn't the most mechanically skilled which makes it more impressive really. He is not S1mple or Zywoo when it comes to raw skill but is greater than both when it comes to in game intelligence and game sense. He is by far the most intelligent awper in the game and that makes up for the mechanical skill by leaps and bounds.
