Idk men, 22 sec ahead of Perez is too much, I am starting to think they are doing dirty on Perez with his car
verstappen is just too good + rb only cares about n1 racer
Car preference is about 25-30% of the time difference, the remaining 75/70% are on the drivers, love him or hate him, Perez isn't exactly the fastest in the corners (regularly takes wider lines if you watch his cam), sloppier.
RB just needs a decent second driver Alonso would be so cool to have.

Nah Alonso would be worst probably, Perez is perfect for n2. Alonso never accept to be an n2 driver and it'll make chaos.

What for? Perez is a perfect second driver. He's not challenging Max and he's currently second on the leaderboard.

Not that dominant? Perez, who is mid at best and had a row of qualy missses, still has significant margin over the 3rd place.

Perez is not a good driver tho
He is just perfect to be a supportive part of a team with a godly driver like Verstappen but that's about it. It is not Rosberg-Hamilton duo.

I have to disagree on this one. If the car wasn't as dominant as it is, Perez couldn't even help red bull win the team championship. In 2021 Bottas outscored him by 40 points while having 3 more DNF's and the rumor says he's still in Monaco doing his pitstop from P2. Mercedes won the championship in 2021 even though Max won the WDC.
Right now Alonso would be ahead of Perez if Aston Martin hadn't dropped so far off the pace during the season due to Perez's abysmal qualifying. Sure he's out of Verstappen's way in a sense since he's 1 second off his pace when Max is pushing which we've seen numerous times already, last time was yesterday in Spa.
He was already out of the competition and he was still pushing Max wide a couple of times when Max was about to pass him. Last time that I can remember was in red bull ring opening laps where he pushed Max on the grass when he was trying to pass him. If Max had crashed there, he would be out of the car already.
Red bull doesn't need a driver who can challenge Max, but someone who can get second place in a close championship, or at the very least 3rd.
The funniest thing is that some people were actually thinking that he had a chance in the WDC

I personally think no, as Max as a solo can win constructors for RB
Imo, They just need someone who’s better than Perez media wise. Ricciardo or even Tsunoda are good options for that, skill wise they are not too far either
Yuki has been driving quite good lately, with decent quali results on the worst car of the grid
DR comeback to RB would absolutely blow the f1, even if he underperforms
But it seems like Helmut Marko is so keen to sign Norris to have two drivers to challenge each other

with current budget restrictions there is no actual need for RB to bring extra money from rent drivers, mexican fans are not brining billions neither

DR is complete trash and so overrated its not even funny. Hasn't done a single thing of note in years

not true lol, there's a lot of technique involved
however the top teams have always been a step ahead of the smaller ones in terms of cars, so you won't ever really have an underdog winner
if you put the best driver currently (which I think is Verstappen) in a Haas car, he'd have massive struggles competing for any points whatsoever
The only one doing dirty on Perez is Perez. Red Bull allow them to fight when they're racing, that's night and day compared to what Mercedes was doing to Bottas.

Valtteri got new part, it was upgrated bottom sheet but it was used by Lewis in 2 races. He was a bit behind Lewis in few races. After getting the upgrade he drove pole position and won the race.
So the car was always behind upgrades because mercedes gave all the new parts first to Lewis.
checo is worse version of bottas.
I'd put Ricciardo, tsunoda, even lawson a chance while the car is so amazing. Maybe poach a Ferrari or Mclaren driver.

or at least someone who is even 'only' like a couple tenths off max instead of getting cooked like perez being caught by like 6 tenths and losing like 5 tenths a lap.
look at the telemetry ffs, checo is awful compared to verstappen.
he's still a solid driver but you're comparing a decent 'deserves his seat' driver to an all time great

used to be fun to watch F1 but for years its been boring asf either red bull or mercedes dominating. it got really boring fast.
Go watch a race from Verstappen's POV from start to finish. MF drives like a machine, perfect smooth lines on the edge of control. The skill gap is just that big. If there is a difference in the car's setup, it's due to the driver's choice.
