I always believed and still believe Amanek is one of the most underated players ever, when he was riflling he could entry/lurk/clutch/secondary AWP and anchor bombsites all well, super versatile player that was always fun to watch.
Sad that his career got ruined because he was forced to AWP, realistically he should've stayed instead of Jackz for the Aleksib G2 lineup

I do not think he did bad as an awper, just his role is not such that you can compare his stats with monesy because they do not have same opportunities.
Amanek role would clash less than Jackz does, that's why G2 made that choice despite Jacks being worse in every way apart from the aim. But even Niko said Jackz has better aim than him so no surprises there.
I liked what Nexa said at some point, paraphrasing - if whatever Amanek is doing is working then we are winning for sure.
That just shows the level of impact he was able to put up.
