And the radius of smokes themselves got changed. You practice few smokes like a nerd only to find out that it got changed in the next update.
No point investing time in it right now other than having fun.
s1mple for example was streaming CSGO with iM, not CS2 because he knows where to put efforts right now.
Until it actually releases (not beta) and replaces CSGO there's no point playing it and instead focus completely on CSGO

CS2 will released in 1-2 months. Maximum 3 months.
the last time they beat a TRUE top 5 team in a non-bo1 was at spring finals
they did win a bo1 vs faze at the major who was 5th at the time
they beat navi with npl once who was on a free fall and were #4 only thanks to all the teams around them decaying quicker than them
other than that they got all these placements with beating teams that are barely top 10 or not even
they are the best team only in the minds of the ones who want to pretend like top 4 finishes and one trophy are all it takes, they were the best for arguably a month and nothing more

placing doesnt really matter. Its about current form of the team at specific event. Heroic deserves far more praise than they get right now. Also I gotta remind you that G2 lost to non-10 teams like fnatic and ITB at the last Major. You also need to win against weaker teams to get further in events
G2 almost lost against VP with stand-in, game was really weird to watch after that dominant Cologne win.

My bet - g2 will not win anything from this point with HooXi. They got lucky in Cologne, Vitality would have swept them in bo5.
UNLESS m0nesy will reach his new peaks, and gonna play like s1mple prime. Otherwise I cant see this team winning something relevant

You literally described G2. Won Kato in dominant way - vanished 10 events. Won Cato while avoiding Vitality - choked next event and almost lost the semi's spot against JameTime. Heroic have young core, they will improve, with great and stable structure of CadiaN. G2 - its matter of a time when NiKo will stop dropping 30 bombs, jks will return to his 1.01, huNter getting old and etc

no, it's because it's a stupid fucking partnered event where only one non partner even has a chance to qualify, and even then it's very likely that a partnered team will take even that one slot because the showdown is filled to the brim with them
not to mention the reserved NA slot and artificial playoffs that mean nothing because 75% of the attending will be in the playoffs no matter what
