So many times I see the opinion: "Everyone buys an iPhone if he can afford it. Android is for the poor".
Does Apple pay you for spreading misinformation?
I don't get this, I love both worlds and seriously cannot decide which is objectively better.

like 90% of my social circle uses iphones and theres literally no culture or personality around it, every once in a while you'll heard someone say "oh is that a samsung? cool", with nothing more to it, whereas I feel like it happens a lot more that a samsung person is going to make a big deal out of how much better it is than most peoples' iphone

Think its more of an NA thing as apple is the more popular brand here. What the first guy said is definitely true, I've gotten girls phone numbers only for them to block me since my text messages were green. Definitely way more obnoxious than android users

i get what ur saying but lowkey I don't see it as an issue if they aren't interested because u have an android and they have an iphone, from my knowledge you can't airdrop or facetime from android to iphone, there's a lot of sharing difficulties between the two, so unless they see it as a status thing I don't see the issue tbh
If you're in a circle where 90% uses iphones, of course you're gonna be BIASED (emphasis on the "i" pls lol) about the matter. I'm on a circle of programmers and 90% of them have androids, and guess what? I'm biased torwards android.
We're social creatures my guy, if lil john and lil mary are your only friends and they have an IOS phone, you're prolly going to want an IOS phone as well. It's just... good marketing from apple

But you are talking about two groups of fanatics failing to consider u also have a group of people who genuinely dgaf about making their phone a part of their personality, take a look around this thread and u will see way more android users making it a huge part of their personality compared to iphone users
and before u go pseudo intellectual again, yes I know this is also a biased sample group, but from my own real life experience with both my social circle and people outside it, I reckon more android people make it part of their personality than iphone people

idk I had android from I was 13-17, it's just extremely bad UI imho, everything looks like it's made for kids or aut*sts, I've been using iphones ever since and yeah they are way too overpriced but I like the UI and the overall design a lot more + sharing stuff and using stuff like facetime is easier if most of the people around u use iphone as well

yeah and I guess maybe the android UI has improved since I last used it, I just remember the design of like app icons, the fonts, notifications etc. just looked really bad, even the emojis were a big meme at one point as well
when I got my first iphone every graphically just seems a lot more refined and "professional", so yeah it's 100% just my preference

I dunno. I'm using an iphone cuz i got used to it. Since my first one in 2010 or 2011. Since that i became huge fan of Apple. I used galaxy 8 when my iphone got destroyed by car. It was rough. I kinda respect that freedom of use of Android but mostly it's kinda buggy and laggy. Also i never saw someone using Android phones more than 3 years, on other hands people are using same iphone for years. Such a stable device. Never had any problem with it. Yeah ofc i need to pay for everything on it cuz can't get apps for free (unlike Android) but it doesn't matter until my phone makes me happy each and every day.

I still use it my guy lol It's my "2nd" phone. (In brazil we walk with 2 phones due to thieves. Hard stuff out there.)
Bought it in 2016; 4gbs of Ram, octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625. SO IT STILL HOLDS WELL, you're just need to know your shit.
The only thing the phone struggled after 2 or so years was storage since it had only 32gbs. (anyways i just bought a mSD and problem solved). Battery life went from roughly 16 hours back when i bought it, to 8~9 now, it's a significant drop but not something that personally bothered me since I don't spend that much time on my phone.
edit: forgot to talk about cameras: didn't hold that well, it isn't ugly but no features to drool over for todays standards

the fact that you said this proves that you don't know much about batteries life cycles/efficiency.
What i'd consider a problem with batteries are the sudden drops in charge that a lot of iphones suffer where due to"unknown"(it's actually known) reasons the phone tends to drop 10~20% of it's charge. I know it happens a LOT with 1to3 year old apple devices(motorolas have the same problem), and it just didnt happen to me.

I guess you don't have experience with developing embedded devices like smartphones. The Snapdragon whatever means Jack and shit, and Jack's been out of town since May. You do these software that works with smaller devices, not just with newer and fancier processors or whatever. That's the beauty of embedded stuff since you need to think a bit about what you're gonig to be pushing down the fucking pipeline.

Nope, i don't have experience in developping embedded devices and it's not that my point. I was just *stating* the model of my old cellphone's processor(which does tell something).
Please don't read much into it, whatever ordeals firmware+hardware integrations this processor needs to have to not fit your "jack and shit" standards; my old cellphone didn't bring any problems to me in the long term.

OH, my point is that the processsor is not that interesting. Or the amount of memory or the version of Android/iOS given. The whole point is that anything really should work, and failing at that it's a brick which is best used as a weight in a fishing net. Oh well, I opt for buying the cheapest phone on the market.

Yeah it's not 2015 anymore. You can't get any faster. It works the exact same way as a flagship phone. Up to date doesnt matter, 1k phones eventually will be outdated as well, even iPhones dont all use the latest iOS
I'll give you the battery which again, not 2015 anymore, pretty meaningless and only relevant for iPhones
I`m forced to use Macbook Pro and iPhone because my job enforces the use of it, but before that I always used Android and Linux(this still using on my personal) and I have no complaints, it`s just preference.

Because I work with macs, everything connects well, the phone, the watch, the ipads etc they all play nicely together.
Tech nerds from india will list higher specs and lower costs of android/windows pc and say they're better, but it's about things actually working out of the box without too much hassle.

It’s a lot less closed than it used to be. Obviously back then they were concerned with piracy whereas everyone streams now. Apple CarPlay/watch etc the music is quite flawless with Siri and transferring music from one to another.
I like MacBook for work PC, but my employer provides it, I would never buy one myself.
And iPhone? Hell nah. I want to actually own my phone, without one company deciding what I can and cannot install.

The specifications are not relatable. It takes a much higher spec android phone to run as smoothly as an apple one in my view.

On the subject, I love Apple MacBooks. They are prime time products. I've used them a lot and really like the integration of stuff coming together. Still, my favourite app on the MacBook is the iTerm2 app for a terminal.
Yes brooo, i am getting paid by Tim Cook himself man, but if i gotta be serious , because Android phones aren't optimized in social media apps , like Snap, IG and those apps are ones that i tend to use more frequently, but other than that i don't hate Android phones.

Everything is running more smooth on Iphone. Clean and simple layout, everything just works.
My last 3 phones has been an iPhone 7, SE 2gen and now 13 mini , (before that samsung S3 and htc hero)
Apple always is just 2 steps ahead with their marketing. Products are good but we all get tricked to pay a premium.
Whether it's worth the money seems to be a preference thing. Its basically a psuedo/quasi-luxury technology brand
