Yes bro, there were put some pictures of the map, 10 months ago let's say, but the problem is that that map was EMPTY, without any player on it, without any system added on that map, 3 days ago the game was released on that map, there is an interaction between many players and the map, you realize that they tested the map with players, but unfortunately I don't think they have thousands of players playing at the same time on the servers and they don't know how that map reacts.

-make a map as nice as possible (including high amount of different models)
-playtest it and confirm it's playable and nice
-release it in beta
-wait for feedback to decide how much do they need to optimize it based on the potato PC's players use

One thing is crying about the game being bad, unplayable and shit. And other is outlining the problems and then waiting for them to be fixed. I'm 100% sure the game will fine when it will be released. A lot of things can polished, it just takes some time.
The same was with dota (and csgo), when the reborn was in open beta it's was unplayable and 3 months later it was better than the old dota. Now everyone forgot that there was a old version of dota on source 1.
Just have patience and be reasonable. All of you wanted a source 2 port. And you got more than everyone asked. (Remember that the average people expected cs2 to be same game new engine with improvments only for map makers, devs and maybe performance). And we literrally got a new version of CS. A lot more than any one hoped we would get.

no one expected cs2 to be on the orange box engine bro. dota got their source2 update in 2015. thats 8 years ago.. thats an insane amount of patience if u ask me :P

dota reborn got good in a couple of months after public beta. At release it was good. It didnt take 8 years brother. My point is that now no one even remembers that there was that point in time that there were 2 versions of dota. With the one in beta not being on par with the old one.
CS2 has a lot of work to be done. Everyone understands that. But some people are crying while others are adequate about that. So don't be the one crying like a little kid.

You should try disabling Nvidia Reflex from the settings, and then changing Low Latency Mode to Ultra from the control panel for CS2. Then you could try deleting your shader cache and verifying file integrity. Also remove all of your launch options (And I mean all, except maybe execs)

I think the problem is that it's an update to an existing game rather than a completely new game. So if you're at a shitty computer you have no other choice than updating to CS2. Some casual players maybe don't have the budget or care enough to upgrade their computer and just wanna have som fun with their friends a few days a week.
There is no problem for you if you wanna go back and have som fun with CS 1.6 or Source. Would actually prefer they did the same with CSGO.
Even tho' CS2 will be more optimised and run better over time. It will still be a more demanding then CSGO, there's no way around that. People will just have to deal with that fact.

I play 1600x900 and its the lowest i can go with low settings, otherwise it looks like a mix of roblox and 1.6 lol
And ofc i have fsr off since with that on it literally looks like 1.2

Just because there are more polygons, textures are higher res and lightning is sharper, it doesn't improve a game visually. All these things are poorly implemented, the visibility is shit, everything feels either jittery or out of place. I don't care about fps, that is an easy fix over time, they just missed with the aestethics. Sure the game looks amazing in stills, but hurts your eyes once you actually play it. It's basically bloom from css all over again.

Not totally true, some spots have more light, that's true, but I never had a visibility problem on csgo using some vibrance, more than some skins doing camo on new cache, but with a few games, I found hard to see some heads from heaven to monster on overpass, it was literally impossible to see with both colors blending.
U dont need a software it was just monitor settings, i used vibrance because the game was grey af and it was hard to spot stuff in some maps, the vibrance usually made the things more like they are now in cs2, i would expect to not have to use vibrance at all in cs2 as it is naturally not grey

People completely forget that CS GO got harder to run with each update. A "potato pc" from 2012 can't run the game at a satisfactory level now. 10 years have passed, people think the definition of a potato pc hasn't changed lol.
I'm more worried about other aspects of the game. The performance doesn't worry me a bit.

Performance should always have a higher priority than optics in an esports game like cs. Thats the same as if footballers wore nice sneakers just because they look better or whatever.
So yes, i expected the game to be better in that regard. With 240hz monitors being the standard, decent computers should at least be able to reach that constantly.

generally you are correct with your ideas, but there are many things to be optimized, personally I found that the thing that kills my FPS is blood, and usually it occurs on DM, starting with 300ish and ending with less than 120... ofc its beta but its an important thing to improve.

Source 2 was suppose to fix the 1% low but it didn't. Devs working on CS2 are noobs. Let the left 4 dead 2 devs and half life devs work on it. They are much smoother game than cs2. Even team tf2 is smoother than csgo.

nah man, paranoia update ruined many people fps. It never got optimized. It halved the fps for many people. After the optimization update, everybody only recovered at most 20% more fps. It was just main menu. 2015-2018 CSGO was the best CSGO.
I can play apex predator in 100+ fps, doom eternal with 160+ with rtx ON without upscale. Every other valve games run smooth as butter but not csgo and cs2. Even CSGO was running on 399 fps but it usually drops to below 100 every 5 sec. CS devs are not good. CS2 is in beta for many months, but they didn't fixed optimization. Every time the round start it starts with bright screen to black white then colorful, it hurts my eyes. I can't turn off that shit.
