I'm not too sure if there any specific UK-based pizza chains or restaurant aside from local ones, which are most definitely hit and miss.

Mom and Pop pizza joints are faaaaaar better and higher quality compared to chains. Don't know where you're these "toxins" rumors from but I have buddies that worked for Pizza Hut and Papa Johns that use nothing but frozen ingredients. Most Domino's in the US make their pizzas from scratch outside of the meat toppings.

Domino's and Pizza Hut are fast food restaurants similar to McDonald's or Wendy's. It's more handy to get a quick pizza from joint and you mostly always get the same quality pizza. Definetely not better tasting just more convenient and people stuff anything in their cakeholes to fill the void

depends, what people usually eat as "italian pizza" (even here in italy most of the time) is the fast food one, the restaurant one is surely more complex and overall better. Unless you try it here you can't really say for sure which is your favorite.

Unless you try neopolitan pizza in Naples you won't get why it is so goated in my opinion, the quality and the rigorous use of ingredient only made in naples make it next level, even the water for how foolish it may sound ahah, it doesn't feel the same in other parts of italy so can't imagine in other states.

Both Italian and American are trash tho, Pizza Hut is expensive, small and greasy AF, while Italian is in most restaurants just thin piece of cake, with some sauce and barely any cheese

Italian pizza has 10000x less oil in it, choose good toppings like spicy salame/prosciutto and portabello mushrooms also grilled eggplant i found really good

Nah there are Italian pizze that have a lot of oil depends from where you get it. The thing with good Italian pizza is that when you take a bite you know it's fresh and you taste it unlike the processed greasy cheese the dusted Americans overrate

Yeah Venice should be avoided imo but Firenze is a hit or miss when it comes to food too imo. Anyway perhaps you really don't like Italian pizza but a good advice would be to go to villages and have a local fresh ingredient filled pizza, perhaps it can change your mind!

In my city the Fast Food Pizza stores are closing. People used to eat them because it was easy deliver. But nowadays with 3r party companies allowing local stores to do delivery, most people order Neapolitan-style pizza, far superior when it comes to cheese blends and especially sauce (You don't have to order a bbq pizza to actually have some sauce in it).

You should really try to make your own authentic italian pizza,
it is an absolutze game changer.
Lots of people prefer cheap an easy over good quality. That fast food chains be it pizza, burgers or what ever shows that - however that doesn't make their products of better quality it just means price and easy wins for many people.
Quality food made from fresh produce and prepared by someone with just a little skill beats the fast food chains, and it does so on being tasty, healthier and just overall much more interesting to eat.
It is sort of tragic that many don't even know how to prepare a basic meal - everybody ought to easily make for example Spaghetti Bolognese, a simple pizza or say a prepare a steak with some potatoes and a sauce made with cream and mushrooms.
