MMLP is leagues better.
Its only bad songs are Remember Me?, Amityville, and Under the Influence (and a case can be made for Remember Me? in my opinion) while having some amazing songs. I'm Back is underrated as hell, the storytelling on Stan and Kim are vivid and paint profound pictures, and Kill You, The Way I Am, Marshall Mathers, Drug Ballad, and Criminal are all 10/10s.
While TES has Cleanin' Out My Closet (one of the worst choruses in his early discography, and even he doesn't play it at shows anymore), Say Goodbye Hollywood, Drips, Superman, Hailie's Song (he wasn't even going to put this on the album, he even admits he can't sing) and When The Music Stops. Without Me is overrated but decent, and White America & My Dad's Gone Crazy are mediocre. I think Em peaks higher on 'Til I Collapse than any song on MMLP, and I love Business, Square Dance (even though this song is goofy, for some reason I like it), Soldier, and Sing for the Moment, but MMLP is a much more consistent album.
And yet, through all of what I just said, MMLP is still not as good as Illmatic. There's a reason Em ranks Nas above him on 'Til I Collapse.
