Because of the overweight nature of american obesity. Quantum Physics law 35 is that if you put 300 americans in a bullet train the knees of the train will break and the whole thing is gonna fly off the rails and hit some building and insta gg, its over for bulletcels.

I was on a bullet train a couple days ago in Japan, pretty cool experience but quite expensive (about 110$US) from Tokyo to Osaka, which is about 3 times as much as a flight between both cities. If a system like this existed in the US I dont think many people would use it enough for it to be profitable

I guess it’s a mix between higher maintenance costs and convenience, would still rather have that instead of both being overpriced…
