I hated it at first, especially on nuke or when inside. But now I’m used to it I like it better than csgo. Also easier to hear where the sound is coming from now

I like the sound in general but it is still buggy, some footsteps aren't audible, same for the bomb defuse/plant sometimes

give back the csgo ak SOUND ASAP, beside that all fine

many times I don't hear bomb plant sound, bomb defuse, door opening, guns shooting next to me etc

The footstep sound is so bad in CS2. You can't pinpoint footsteps anymore. I tested with bots and the footsteps sound the same from behind you, in front of you and beside you. That's a whole 180 degree arc where the footsteps sound the same. It's like the sounds in the game is stuck in stereo and having a 7.1 headset is useless. I haven't found and option to change the audio output either. In CSGO I could track footstep sounds with this same headset. I could tell the direction that the footsteps were going by sound. CS2 I can only tell if they are coming closer, going further and the direction in a 180 degree arch. Which is just insane for a game in 2023.

Sounds are annoying. Lacks upper end, its like having a high pass filter set at 10khz. Sound design is shit, some guns sound like toys.
