csgo was trash till like 2014. sadly the game is shit now but if in 2-3 years it isnt close to csgo it will be dead.

I have almost the same FPS in CS2 as in CS GO, the only advantage is that the FPS in CS2 is more stable at the moment. Except in DM, where the FPS gradually drop from 300 at the beginning to 150 towards the end, and bad water optimization, where I lose about -150 FPS.

Ye my build is 3.5 years old as well. My fps in CS2 is literally the same as it was in CS:GO. CS2 stutters way less, feels more fluent, has more stable fps, ...
People expect a new game to come out after 11 years and think they can get away with the same potato they've had since 1998.
It's like being angry if Starfield gives you FPS issues while Skyrim was running fine on your sack of shit.

What are you even talking about?
People always say "it's just the beta" and it definitely is a beta, but I think what's making the CS player base angry is how clear it is what Valve wants to do with the game. It doesn't matter if it's beta or not, it does matter that the ideas of making the game "easier" for new players, more friendly, the idea of competing with Valorant is there in every update. What's pissing players off is that Valve had a totally unique game, a recipe that worked for 20 years, it didn't need any major changes, a better tickrate, better servers, and better anti-cheat, that's the reality and with this the game is becoming just another fps on the market, and the only reason the game is being talked about is because of CS fans in general, because otherwise nobody would even give this game a chance because it's so bad, even though it's a "beta".
is it true that in Valorant some weapon/knife skins are only obtainable by purchasing with real life money and are bound to your account?

Whoa, hold it there. Optimization is not an event that happens when you work at it. It's like debugging, it's a fucking process. It involves profiling and other stuff. And it ain't easy. There's a saying in the industry that goes like "Premature optimization is the root of all evil". You really should get a grasp on software development before stating shit you don't comprehend.
You sound like you are just another dweeb with low tier PC to be honest. You can have 200-300 fps in moderate settings in cs on a 500 euro PC without problems.
Again - if you do not like the game, stop playing it, no need to let everyone know you left, as we do not really care. Personally, I am happy when another noob dweeb leaves to valotrash or lol. Makes the games' environment cleaner.

While on the other hand i have met quite a few valorant players who are coming back to CS2, after jumping ship from CS:GO.
And no, the game is not poorly optimized. It is making far better use of hardware resources than cs:go ever could. It benefits from more CPU cores, additional cache and actually uses GPU for once. It scales with hardware, which is the crux of optimization - reducing overhead, and providing scalability. It actually runs smoother on decent hardware than cs:go does. Yes, the average FPS took a hit, but the frametimes are far more consistent.
And while i do agree that it is a dick move by vulva to force people to upgrade their PCs in order to continue playing a game, let's be real, the source 1 version of the game is an outdated mangle of spaghetti code that is hard to manage and presents far too many performance issues of it's own. So i fully support this move.

Just because it uses more of your hardware doesnt mean it makes better use of it. CSGO makes better use as you are able to hit very high framerates with just 4 cores and a dumpster GPU
CS2 needs more CPU cores and better GPU because it has to render lighting and water splashes that nobody asked for. Same thing will happen as cs 1.6 -> csgo where lots of people quitted because they wont upgrade PC specifically to play cs
The performance is fixed and smooth as butter with the new update, I don't know what you are talking about right now, it's fixed atleast for me

I played these 2 games, but Valorant was really boring, buff and nerf agent were like semi-cheat games.
Do people actually think CS2's graphics look good? Let alone the subpar gameplay?
CSGO was my go to over Valorant or any other shooter, but once CS2 officially takes over (and provided they don't fix the crappy movement and spray) then I'll probably just play valorant to scratch the FPS itch and go back to other games.

People are used to potato graphics CSGO that any bread crumb thrown will look like a loaf of bread.
that FPS itch is real, I can't play a single player game relaxed with a controller before hoping on some fps with mouse&kbd.
I liked playing csgo on my alt acc on faceit but I didn't like neither Valorant nor CS2 beta. Movement&Sprays are things that I didn't like in both of those.
what you suggest? I tried cod warzone but shooting felt too casual. fortnite is focused on building rather than shooting. is battlefield 2042 any better?

if you prefer Valorant go there. id rather play with the subtick system than deal with 200 different agents that say oneliners after every kill.
two different games, in valorant beta the games were pretty similiar but now Valorant is just wildly different due to utlity being locked behind agents.
you will not be missed, i think the 0-1k rating bracket has enough players without you.

id much rather play premier, as i dont really face the issue that others have with subtick. only thing ive realised is that the killfeed lags behind but the actual shots are not problems for me.
but not having smokes because i decided to main phoenix and relying on my teammates on actually knowing what to do with utility tilts me off the earth. "ultimates" that cannot be used every round have no place in a tactical shooter without respawns. in CS atleast people have the same tools and starting point and mechanics and knowledge is what makes the difference, not picking the most OP champions like in league.
Valorant isnt bad, but the agent system killed it for me after it got out of beta.

there's no point in playing it now.
mm premier is fucked and random (all kinda elos in one rank) and on 64 tickrate.
faceit has no online, only 3k-4k elos that will use you as a decoy and shooting even though better, still sucks.
also, with the last update they removed cl_updaterate 128 and cl interp commands so now I don't even know if there's even a point to play faceit besides better players and anticheat. the shooting will be same shit.

They are literally improving optimization every single update...
CS2 gonna be better than CSGO just this year. Considering how great can CS2 can look, getting those FPS Is already very decent, in a limited test though. Ubisoft would optimize CS2 for RTX 3070 and higher only lol. Water physics will be tweaked further or there gonna be a whole new setting for lower quality water effects not dropping your fps.
