Valve should add bogus variables in the game just so that after a month they can tell people it did nothing. Something like cl_hitreg_interp_scale or sv_netcode_alpha that does absolutely nothing but people will write it the game feels completely different. It was already the case with most interp and rate settings, they were set by the server and if you changed them on client side it did nothing but still people had it in their configs.
