Maybe in Europe ? You should really open a book. Honestly, its not to put you down but you dont seem to know anything about the french cuisine culture.
French cuisine has had a significant influence on the world with its reputation for sophistication, refinement and diversity of flavors. Here are some of the ways France has influenced world cuisine.
We made Haute Cuisine: France is known for its cutting-edge culinary techniques, including classical French cuisine, which has served as the basis for many culinary schools around the world. Methods of preparing, cutting and presenting food were widely adopted elsewhere.
Also, restaurants: French restaurants, with their a la carte menu concept, have inspired the development of restaurants around the world. The terms "à la carte" and "chef de cuisine" are of French origin.
Our Chefs influence: Renowned French chefs like Auguste Escoffier and Paul Bocuse have influenced generations of international cooks and contributed to the evolution of global gastronomy.
Also something you are ignoring is the regional cuisine. Each region of France has its own culinary specialties, which has inspired a diversity of dishes and flavors that have been adapted and integrated into other cuisines. 5. Pastry: French pastry, with its croissants, éclairs, and macarons, has been adopted around the world and has influenced pastry techniques in many countries.
Add to this.... wine and cheese. France is famous for its high-quality wines and cheeses, and these products have had a huge impact on global gastronomic culture. In short, France has left a lasting imprint on global cuisine through its rich and diverse culinary heritage, which continues to inspire cooks around the world.
Also, you failed to realize a lot of things about the roman influence. Just like the sewers that were adopted by the romans from the egyptians, they heavily developped it. It is the same that goes with the french cuisine.
The roman influance was mostly about spices, breeding, meat etc. But this was only during the Frankish era. And it wasnt even France yet. (For this, again, you need an history book).
But the french actually made it evolve in a greater way than before, obviously, from the middle ages, the Sun King, the french revolution, and again the regional cuisine.
I could teach you more in DM if you are interested.
