Because they are made by the most uncreative people for the most generic audience possible that will just watch literally anything to pass another two hours and thirty minutes of their shit lives. Again you are at the other end of the horse shoe like I bet the people that watched the first super hero movie ever were like "oh this is great I could watch 50 movies like this without getting bored" the truth is it does get boring, it's why tastes change every decade or so, just look at music or fashion. There needs to be a serious change in the movie industry as we're currently just getting the worst of the worst across the board now. Disney is garbage, DC and Marvel are garbage all these IPs keep getting brought back from the dead to be milked for money and there are not very many new good writers or directors so it's just shit being recycled constantly in hopes that maybe this time they'll make money on it again. The sad truth is we'll never get another John Carpenter so cinema might as well just be dead.

read the boys comics, they aren't better than the tv show but they are brutal beyond explanation, no wonder they had to change so many stuff. that being said, as much as i like the tv show, plot armor in the boys could have been dealt with better.
