raising a cat is like really easy compared to a dog.
give them a place to pee, at fire this might be a blanket just like with a puppy.
dont let it out of the house for the first weeks/months? i dont remember, gotta look that up.
(otherwise he wont come back maybe.)
then just feed them and be nice
2023-09-16 18:57
he seems very cute ! Just have him learn where to pee and poo by giving him treats whenever he does it where u want to, otherwise sterilize him just like a dog and enjoy !
2023-09-16 19:00
damn, very fortunate
get a litter box, and litter with no fragrance. Read reviews on amazon and choose the one with good clumping.
Get him dewormed and vaccinated. Feline viruses are very very very fatal, so vaccination to boost immunity is a must.
Get a good dry food as his meal, and you can treat him with wet food sometimes.
Once he turns 1 y.o, hook him up with catnip
enjoy!

Cute kitty!
Litter box + litter is the first thing. Also if you can afford it high quality dry food. Toys, vaccinations and of course plenty of love. Also wouldn't let him out of the house for a while.
2023-09-16 19:04
That fucker looks comfortable,
Feel like every cat tries to go on hunger strike if they don't get wet food, but I haven't met a cat who goes all the way. They eat the dry stuff when you're not looking.
2023-09-16 19:12
Give her more wet food than solid, cats used to hunt so this is why they dont drink much water, they get their water from meat. You can combine them, this is a good way to keep your cat healthy.
2023-09-16 19:24
he will be outdoor or indoor cat?
2023-09-16 19:43
Cute cat take good care of them
2023-09-16 19:49
1. Get a small house for him on height (Cats love to have their small hideout place)
2. Get a waterfountain (It's in cats nature to drink from running water, Still water = danger)
3. If he is completely new to your home lock him into a room and release him after he explorered that room then do that room to room instead of overwhelming him (Cats spread their scent that way, that's how they'll know it's their territory aka home)
4. Get good food, cheap cat food is awful. My cat changed so much after i bought a little bit more expensive nutritious food (those shit foods have small % meat)
5. GLHF
2023-09-16 19:53
litter box, get him neutered, basically everything was described above
pet him regularly ofc
2023-09-16 20:09
he's so cute! looks like one of my cats
hope you guys have fun togheter :)
2023-09-16 20:17
very cute, if he is a stray cat and it is possible to do so i recommend not getting any litter box and just let him shit outside and be outside as much as he wants to. Litter boxes are nasty af.
Kitties take a very long time to adapt to you if he is already comfortable with you petting his belly that means he trusts you a lot.
2023-09-16 20:20
Cats can be very annoying when they are young, you have to be patient with it.
2023-09-16 20:22
Why dont you let nature do his thing
2023-09-16 20:25
they will become friends for sure, the dog will see u accepted him fast in the family
good job dude! awesome post
2023-09-16 20:28
I have a three year old cat, he's funny but lazy as I could not afford to get him toys and stuff when he was little.
Get the cat a litter box, a cardboard box with blankets work very well for a temporary bed. Get him some *good quality* (cheap foods can hurt the cat in the long run) dry catfood and get him vaccinated dewormed. Get the little guy some toys, there are some toys that work very well as an alternative to furniture for them which they can scratch. That's pretty much all you need for now.
Cats are really easy to raise, you will have a fun time and they don't need a lot of training.
If the cat isn't little trained, look up a youtube video or ask the vet about it. Treat him with wet food once in a while. You can also give him some well cooked chicken and egg sometimes, they like it as well.
Don't let cat outside yet, keep him in the home and let him explore it on his own pace, and oh yeah, get him neutered.

most wholesome hltv thread

So probably one thing you have to take care of is... cats creature of habit. Once you get them into a routine missing it often would cause them stress or acting out. So keep that in mind.
The fella looks to have taken interest in you and seeing how you got a cat via Cat distribution system is an indicator that you are a nice person. Do well and thrive.
2023-09-16 20:42
cool cat, cool friend for life ..
2023-09-16 20:51
Here is a cat that comes from somewhere else, maybe from a neighboring house or stray cat, he jumps over the roof of all the houses and leaves his poop, I'm starting to hate cats
2023-09-16 20:52
I'm proud of my ropz fan <333
2023-09-16 20:55
Routines is very important for cats
2023-09-16 21:30
cats are ez to take care
>place to pee/poo
>toys (even a small ball made of paper is enough lul)
>cat food
>lots of patience (when they are young they have too much energy to play and to ruin everything so stay strong)
2023-09-16 21:42
Get scratchy pole and teach kitty not to scratch on furniture if you dont want it ruined (kitty looks smart so he will understand)
PET HIM!!!!!!
2023-09-16 21:43
you are so kind thank you. you dont need to do anything. cat knows what to do :D
2023-09-16 22:29

2023-09-16 22:34
Cats are the best animals
2023-09-16 22:46
Good man, i found my almost the same way, just no shakes
My first cat died from some stomach problem (we had it from people giving them away on the street) she was ok whole time, 1 day she fell asleep and died unfortunatly, i was upset , then 2-3 weeks later i found the same looking cat, so i picked him up
2023-09-16 22:57
you are great person for doing this
2023-09-29 20:23
very nice cat, big W for you both
2023-09-29 20:24
make sure you castrate him
2023-09-29 20:45
best topic in entire year.
glad to see this.
you are a good guy
2023-09-29 20:56
You’re doing a very good thing my friend)))
A lot of people have already written great advice so I don’t have much to add, but I can tell you that I also have a stray cat who I adopted (or who adopted me) and few things bring me more joy than he does
2023-09-29 21:06
you're a good person, wishing you the best
2023-09-29 21:20
Bro, you earned a special place in heaven.
As advice I will say to you: now you are fully responsible for this creator. Never leave him by himself and never let him down. He trust you and karma from cat will give you a happy life
2023-09-29 21:44
feed it a plant based diet
2023-09-29 21:45
YOOOOOOOO
-train him to a litter box first
-clean litter box daily, especially if it's an open box; swap litter weekly if you use coarse litter
-give him both kibble and wet food and make sure there's always clean water available (cats also like moving water so letting him drink from the faucet is fine IF your city has consumption-grade water)
-cats need a lot of space, make sure he can run around a lot
-they can also communicate, you just need to associate his different meows with different situations (needs clean water, food or litterbox is full, or even some play time)
-cats hate loud noises
-ABSOLUTELY spay and neuter him - especially tomcats are known to spray their piss all over the place, part of natural instinct to mark territory
-if he sleeps a lot when he's around you - perfectly normal, most cats can only sleep when with company (again, part of natural instinct)
-make sure to research what cats can consume - for example, milk ONLY once in a while and please lactose-free unless you want diarrhea all over your house. for fresh meat, make sure it's preferably raw and ZERO seasoning (some cuts naturally have sodium content)
-also research what plants can poison a cat if you have plants at home
-cats can go on walks, if trained
-cats can also swim - they are actually very good swimmers by nature
-cats have a very high body temperature - their normal temperature is a very bad fever for us. keep this in mind when you wanna give him baths, he won't need a full bath very often (unless he has fleas) but at least wipe down some hard-to-reach spots
-make sure to talk to your cat when he's around - i know it sounds dumb but it can be like therapy to them
i'll update if i can recall more stuff
2023-09-29 21:46
make sure to wash it if you haven't
2023-09-29 22:14
Nice cat. Just love him… and feed ^^
2023-09-30 00:38
you are screwed since now
2023-09-30 00:40
Beautiful cat, beautiful story and hope it is a start of a beautiful friendship.
Please take care of him or at least find him a nice foster or real home.
We spend so much time discussing negative stuff on these boards, that things like this slip by us. Honestly, thanks for your kindness, my guy!
2023-09-30 00:42
Based! The kitty is so damn cute. My biggest advice is do not let him out of the house, otherwise you most likely won’t see him soon
2023-09-30 01:05
raise it just like you would raise a dog
retain high discipline and teach it to listen you
they are very intelligent creatures
2023-09-30 01:53
this thread is so wholesome, i dont need to give tips cause most gave them already
enjoy and love the kitty <3
also let the cat slowly adapt to the dog and they will be buddies.
2023-09-30 01:51
cats can eat dog food but it lacks a protein they need to survive so you will have to buy cat food. don't buy some cheap shit with wheat and sugar. (I hope you don't buy that garbage for your dog either)
2023-09-30 01:55
never had any pets, hopefully i can afford dog later
2023-09-30 02:01
get him something to scratch if you want to save your furniture in future
2023-09-30 02:13
Just don't let your dog harm your cat, that's it.
2023-09-30 08:03
You dont own a cat. Cat owns you.
2023-09-30 08:08
good thing man!! have fun together <333
2023-09-30 08:30
Sterilise him as soon as possible. Cats in heat like pissing everywhere
2023-09-30 08:34
He will change your life forever. Once you develop a connection to a cat it's different than anything else. I love my cat, he's honestly my best friend.
