Apex was actually really good entry back in the day but he's washed and I was never a fan of him starting to igl. His achievements in vitality is kinda just getting carried, mostly by zywoo the hardest carry of all time. (Not something thats even debatable in any way)

The same happens to any team when they lose their IGL though? How does that make him special?
G2 lost Aleksi after Katowice 2022 to COVID and went into EPL without him, they got bodied by fnatic, beaten by MOUZ with dexter NBK AND bymas, and nearly dropped a map to LFO
The only exception to this was karrigan's MOUZ at css5 where ropz and frozen just started pugging G2 to death

I'm not saying that he's more special than someone else because of that, every IGL is important for his team. I'm saying that he is a fundamental part of the team for those who say that he is ZywOo's backpack and that any IGL could take his place.

Currently in their respective roles I say aleksib. But peak entryfragger apex was actually pretty crazy. But then again you cant compare entry to igl.
Probably Apex although imo it's pretty much impossible to compare IGL's of different teams. Only way to pretty accurately compare IGLs is when a team does nothing but a IGL swap like NIP did now during summer break.
Aleksib is the king of hltv. Everyday we have atleast two posts about Aleksib. He's just so cool, whether you like him or not.

Everybody in this thread talking about apex's historical performances needs to go get checked for dementia, he had 1 good year in 2018 at 1.16, the same way Aleksi had 1 good year in 2017 at 1.18 before both went to being 1.0x merchants
What does historical relevancy even have to do with current relevancy anyway?
Currently they are essentially the same in terms of statistical performance, in fact, their statistics for this year are essentially identical, the only time one comes above the other is apex with regards to IGLing and even then its hard to compare since apex has had 5 years chilling with Vitality whilst Aleksi has been passed from team to team
