thats what i am complaining dude. i didnt watch 99% of them cus none of them are worth a watch. this crappy 'tourney' is holding the entire pro scene hostage for 5 weeks only to have matchups like 9z vs tyloo 90% of the time with occasional navi vs faze once a week. gtfo of here lol.

They need to fix the format in last chance stage because unfair for team to play 2 matches in one day where other team doesn't. Apart from that its all good.

if the goal is to have t2 teams get into the big stage, then do a big t2 event and let them duke it out there, then put the winners into the big league, not create a 5 week series dragged out only for most of them to be eliminated, while barely any good teams played against each other, only for the post-stage to be the same as any other tournaments anyway.

of course i disagree. id much rather watch Blast with 90% t1 teams playing t1 teams with the one odd eg match where i dont have to watch, unlike this crap where it's the exact opposite. 1 good match the whole week and then everything else is eg vs m90 vs 8z vs tyloo. you literally left yourself wide open for rekt to take a shot at EG who me and most muricans dont care about lol.

well you are complaining about bullshit though you cant complain about a fair system that allows teams to progress further what you are doing is like complaining about why open qualifiers exist.. they are mandatory for the final product of a tier1 grand final. does anyone force you to go download demos of open qualifiers and watch teams beat tier4-5 mixes? just because these matches exist doesnt mean you have to watch them!!! then dont watch ESL PRO LEAGUE, or at least its early stages

youre missing the point. i have no issue with t2 teams doing their things and then reaching t1 tourneys. if theyre actually good theyd beat some t1 teams and maybe even make top 8. but this tourney is holding the circuit hostage for 5 WEEKS and produce 1 good match per week. THATS MY ISSUE. and then all these t2 teams which will be not qualify anyway so why even bother with this

Yeah. Why bother tier1 teams to get out of their comfort zones, play some "random" cs, see how people differ etc. And why would we have Gamerlegion going up to major final, right? They fluke and so on :D Here is the thing, the better plays and wins and people need to step up in major scenes just like the major itself. So is epl such a scene, the answer is yes to me. Do we see t1 teams dominating t2 3 teams so we can be fed up with the unsuccessful performances of t2 3 teams? No. Not in an environment where there were tens of threads in this site people claiming tier2 teams are even better than tier1 teams, I don't think so. Epl decided to turn into an event in which you take your tea and enjoy the games instead of bursting energy with a week of fast matches. Thats the real cs when teams get mixed, when you say "tyloo has really mechanically gifted players but they suck at...", that's real football when real loses to sheriff

This is already happening, it's called ESL Pro League. So you're issue isn't ESL Pro League, because it's your suggestion for how it should be, you are complaining that you're watching it? You see the problem here, don't you?

you missed my point, i want the t2 team to be on their own tournaments, while t1 plays their normal tourneys. and then have the t2 winners sprinkled in on the next esl event. NOT have a tournament where its t2 teams and t1 teams play but t1 team only play once out of 5 and the rest are filler t2 events, and this whole ordeal repeats itself 5 times while no t1 team can be at other tourneys.

The event isnt the problem the schedule is. They could just bang all the groups at the same time but I guess they want to cash out on half time ad viewership or something

thats a very subjective view. me for example, I always enjoy seeing lesser known teams compete against the big dogs +EPL always has great production wich makes it fun to watch even when the game is EG vs Ence or some other guaranteed stomp - if you believe these games to be crappy that's just your (pretty dumb I'd say) opinion.

Do it 1x a year and I'd like it, maybe they would be able to do it with an actual crowd at an actual venue. My only complaint is that the whole of Playoffs is held in a basement.

I hate these new tournament formats where teams have like 4 last chances before being eliminated, it just makes for so many unnecessary games with no hype. Besides that having teams play their playoffs almost a month after the group phase is ridiculous

I agree EPL takes so ridiculously long, and then the playoffs don't even have a crowd to elevate the experience for a supposedly prestigious event? Also, the last chance stage is utter shit. I like lower bracket systems. If you had an off day, you can prove to everyone that you deserve to play at the tournament by being given a second chance. However, if you go to the last chance stage, you dont deserve to be there. Why waste the viewers' time making the worst of the worst duke it out in a bo3? It causes the entire event to drag on indefinitely

I think I missed the point or something here. What you described is "Let's have t2 compete in their own tourneys while t1 competes on what they normally compete and get the t2 promoted to ESL after they qualified enough" What happens in ESL is "There's X amount of "t1" partnered teams on the tourney already and the others that get to join are the ones who won local qualifiers (aka, the lower leagues) and they get to compete twice a year" My brother in Christ, what you want is exactly what happens to the lower teams when they join EPL?

The only thing I hate is how long this crap is... Keep it rolling until it's done. CPL used to be open to anyone to show up, tons of teams, tons of games. But it kept going, and it ended. Let people watch pros vs noobs, or up-coming teams that sometimes made an upset or cut it close. But then before you knew it, all the no0body teams were out and the relevant teams were playing eachother for the title. A month for a tourney? Oh hell no... They do 2, or 3 matches most of the time. Like the hell is this crap!
