how performance gets worse in CS2 everyday? I go from first playing at 150-180 FPS. No problem I can deal with this. Then a few update later im 120FPS maximum out of nowhere. Now I launch and im lucky if I can enter settings page before blackscreen restart PC. Why / How it can be this bad optimize? Any fixes for the blackscreen. Tip/Fix would be appreciate.

Ive never had any weird drops whatsoever so I personally cant relate, but are you running CS on a HDD or SSD? If you arent on an SSD; that could provide better stability

Yeah idk I have weird stutters sometimes but interestingly only since I switched from my rtx 3060 to an rx 7800 ct Maybe it’s cpu bottleneck bc I’m waiting for an upgrade (i3-13100 rn) but it’s just weird to me bc even the i3 should have enough performance for cs2

For stutters I'm using Process Lasso and it doesn't happen anymore, hopefully it will stop without the need of external programs when they release the full game

did you check how cpu was utilizing before bios update and after? (in msi afterburner) or is it just some wizardry going on with amd and 3d v-cache?

I have no idea, I had Windows fully debloated and all drivers updated and the only thing left was getting the latest version of bios so I did that and got 250 fps boost lol went from like 350/400 to 600

Its a very CPU heavy game, but I would check your drive on which CS2 is installed and look for spikes; if for example your drive has gotten bad and CS2 is saved on that part of the drive, that could explain the crashes. Otherwise maybe cooling? Idk how hot your CPU gets when you play CS2, might be worth to check

SSD has no problems and tested its read/write speed and its fine. Cooling also not problem. I guess I just need upgrade CPU to play next versions of CS.. Sad.

yeah, same with 3600x. (~180fps avg) we all need to get that 5800x3d or go AM5 or there's just no life with these cpus anymore. even AAA games stutter and get less frames in cpu demanding games on ultra. noone gives a f about optimizations anymore, sometimes I wish I had a console and didn't care about it.

Yes you are saying truths. I will do the upgrade when GTA6 comes but im not upgrading for CS2 ,,, Just boring Valve dont take in consideration of majority of its users PC requirements when make new game. I will just play new Fifa soon so wont need to worry about FPS etcs but I was enjoying grinding premier in some evenings but after some updates its not playable now.

Yeah I've noticed the experience has gotten worse than it was during the early limited test. Especially netcoding seems WAY worse than before. Before basically everyone got access I actually didn't really have any issues with getting killed when I'm behind cover and didn't notice a huge peekers advantage as we have now. It's a bit concerning that it seems to have only gone worse with time, maybe it's just that there are so many more players and servers can't manage it that well.

For me its that all maps are complettly fine but inferno and ancient for some reason crash and those are the only maps that crash and i don't know how to fix it.
