Terrible aim CS2

Been playing this game a long time (20 years) but never felt old/slow until cs2, always had rubbish decision making but bailed out by good aim. Leetify in the 90s for aim and counter-strafing. In cs2 my aim is terrible and I have no idea why, what’s different? My time to damage has gone from 450-500ms to 800… Anyone struggling or has tips to adapt?

Yeah cs2 is all about hs. While spray is a bit different to cs:go the only kills you certantly get is by hs. In csgo I never experience so many lobbies with 8/9 players above 60%HS is insane and my premier rank is not even high. Will take time to adjust to cs2 spray or valve will actually bring the spray from cs:go. I cant explain why but yeah spray feels of at least in weapons that are not the m4's

CS2 is made for noobs with slow reaction. You will see many clips now of people shooting late and it register as HS. Its not you its the game.

While I agree that the game feels more noob-friendly, the hitreg is better than ever, as proven by many Reddit threads in the latest 3-4 days. You can go in and check for yourself. The animation is delayed, but the physical click with the mouse on a head is infinitely better than GO. GO shows both the animation and the actual click of the mouse at the next closest tick, while subtick calculates the exact moment when you pressed the mouse but shows the animation a bit later, and that can impact the "shooting late and still hitting"-feeling. But as I said, I do agree that the game feels more noob-friendly, especially the run-and-gun p90 garbage.

If anything it is made for people with better reactiontime. The click is almost instant while the animation is delayed.

CSGO was a atrocity of a game , it was so bad , that valve made it spray depentent , cuz the hitreg was terribble . ( this is why HITREG , subtick , was the main thing valve pushed for cs2 , noobs will say smokes ...) . Just w8 for better optimization and get gud . le : its normal to cry over csgo , after they realesed csgo i stopped playing cs after 11 years .its normal .

You need to focus more on 1taps and bursts, they slightly changed spray pattern speed (its not one speed now, its slower and then mid spray its faster). Also since its still beta, there are things as heavy peekers advantage and such.

-mouse movement feels floaty, like I'm playing on reverse accel or something -i get above 144fps but it feels like a slideshow -entering a spray duel is like signing up for a lottery All that + the fact that they did something with the animations and how subtick changes the timing of when your shot is registered made me stop playing cs2 Lmao valve is so delusional that they thought summer was an appropriate release date, all members of talent and washed pros that came to Seattle clearly did not do a good job at explaining how horrible the gunplay is

You guys know, is there any infos about m_rawinput? Cs2 messed up my aim, have played with acceleration since 2001, and now its gone. Impossible for boomer like myself to learn to play without it :/

For me playermodels movement often just looks weird af, especially when they run and gun. ALso my own movment also feels off and slow, jiggling and counterstrafing just feels weirdly wobbly and delayed. Have you tried faceit though? I played one cs2 faceit game and the server was just much better and way more direct

If you have always been a guy who is more a sprayer than the guy who hits the first bullet to the head then it's very understandable you are struggling more in CS2.

The game just plays differently right now, need more tapping and bursting, should avoid holding angles(maybe the netcoding tracks your time to kill differently than in GO), movement is still a less crisp.

It's just a visual thing, keep playing and you'll adjust, your eyes will be train to know what to look for. I had the same problem, couldn't react and the way the models animate threw me off.

I've been playing Counterstrike since 2000, and I personally think it's just a matter of getting used to it. I also don't think the reaction makes that much of a difference. Sure, younger players are more responsive, but more important is the pre-aim, positioning. What I think has a big change is the sound. I have problems to correctly classify the steps or hear them very late.

That's what I'm so confused about, the only map I should be bad at is inferno as it has changed. Not sure how all my crosshair placement and reaction times are so bad on every map.

Take your time and play deathmatch. To avoid getting frustrated, I would play deathmatch with bots at the beginning. After a few rounds you will get a feeling for the maps and the crosshair placement and you will adapt "faster" than you think. What you can't argue away, however, is that time investment is a crucial factor. At the end of the day, you can't invest as much time as you used to as a teenager - at least I can't :).

Conter-Strike 2 is truly an amazing game, fantastic!! I love it so much!! Valve just needs to work a little more on input lag, lag compensation, jitter, fps avg optimization specially 1% lows, stuttering, gpu utilization, subtick hitreg delay (dying behind walls), tickrate, anticheat, promises, 5stack premier elo boost services, floaty movement, wonky leg physics when strafing, nade throw delay, model clipping through walls, nvidia reflex fix, cpu multithreading optimization (cpu utilization?), water optimization, clunky nade physics when landing, ignoring nova4 opinions that dictate tickrate decisions who can't even tell the difference between 60hz and 144hz monitor, bloomy visibility, desync tracers (you don't get what you see experience), 60fps recoil animation, bright muzzle flash, v_sync off fix, hud customization to make it less distracting, blurry minecraft graphics on 1280x960 all low looking worse than CSGO, right click refund buymenu, 3D audio positioning, demo replays with agents hoverboarding, server hardware and infrastructure, better nade visibility to differentiate smoke/flash midair, cl_bob + cl_righthand cvars, 0.5 outlinethickness crosshair, shiny nade trajectories, report system banning you 1 week for sayin 'fakin bish' banter to some sensitive blue haired hardstuck nova4 turbocuck, reduce particles/dirt/birds/leaves that get mistaken by a flash, net_graph, reduce debree from shooting walls, weird ELO system, cl_minmodels / improve agents visibility, remove forced 64 tick + allow 128tick sv(faceit), gamemodes (specially DM), weird FPS drop as the game progresses, crashes, dusty maps, teammates proximity rubberbanding, peeker advantage, 64tick weird spray, mr12 economy, smg meta fix, skin's dull models design, 60hz feeling with high fps.

idk feel like my aim improved a lot with cs2. I always had good decision making and positioning but mediocre aim which was also relying on spraying. Now I am hitting taps left right and center. I cant rly explain it though
