the contrast and dark levels on OLED TVs are extremely good, but if you will be looking at regular TV shows or have a lot of static elements on screen for a long time, the regular LED will be better

#10 yeah i will most likely go for the cheaper led one

ah I see, if you already have an OLED tv, then it is indeed better to just go cheaper and save some money

They’re shitty Chinese brands
2023-09-20 16:09
lg and samsung lol it's not 2011 anymore. If you aren't going to drop 1k on an oled lg then you're wasting your money
2023-09-23 16:17
I must agree with #3 And i'm sure you can return it, if you don't like it. At least we can in Denmark. Not sure about Austria

Bigger is better
2023-09-20 15:55
i think led suffices imo, especially if you already have a "main" tv, if cost is a concern id probably go for the cheapest ~50inch led or something, maybe wait for black friday, imo no difference between current gen and last years tvs but maybe im just cheap haha
2023-09-20 15:57
I just bought my first TV in a long time and I couldn't tell the difference between LED and OLED in the store with them side-by-side. If somebody asks I'll just say it's an OLED so they'll think I have a big dick.

hahahaha i can definitely tell the difference :P
2023-09-20 16:05

oled will turn off leds, also it's noticeable when you have a starry night side by side lg.com/hk_en/images/TV/features/TV-OLED-..

The guy at the store said they all pretty much look the same because the content on streaming services still sucks. Like 4k has been standard for a while but 4k content is still kinda rare.

from what I've seen almost everything is 4K on streaming services, obviously not the things that were filmed when 4K wasn't a thing yet. Or maybe he was talking about the lower tier subscription plans, like I remember netflix had like 720p on the cheapest plan

2500 for a tv in 2023? wtf man buy your tv at black friday/sale

The tv i would buy if my main tv broke right now would be the lg oled g3 which costs 2300 for 55inch or 2800 for 65inch. Sure, if someone has time to wait for black Friday deals than you can get it even cheaper
2023-09-20 16:49
LG C2

1400-1700€ :P thats like 2.5-3times as much as the other tvs i linked if i would need a new main tv i would go for a c2 or g3. (most likely g3)

100% OLED , never doubt it.
2023-09-23 16:16
hltv best tv
2023-09-23 16:21
You know a lot about TVs so why are you asking? Buy the cheaper one if the OLED is not something you have to have.
