just like every media type, there's anime directed at kids, teenagers, and adults

You are right, but anime fans are extremely relevant in Counter-Strike, since they often use anime avatars and anime dedicated profiles.

It's something you eventualy grow out of. I used to love anime. Nowadays I can't even bring myself to watch it, I simply don't enjoy it anymore. The only one I see myself watching is bleach final arc when it finishes airing.
But I do agree, people calling something shit without even giving it a try is childish.

i watched like total 60-70 titles
i liked attack on titan / ghost in the shell (everything beside sac2045 and arise) / psychopass / evangelion / akira / edgerunners, maybe deathnote / both FMA / GTO
everything else doesnt compete with any good tv series
out of the recent titles that i tried which are tokyo ghoul / demon slayer - both has way too weak writting / childish in general
its fine if you like it, its just not that good as many weebs thinks it is

Does that make it "bad"? Not at all, though that depends on the anime and opinion in question.
I don't think anime is inherently bad, I just find that the vast majority of the popular ones are meant for children.. in the realm of Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network or whatever.
Even the only ones that I truly like, the Studio Ghibli movies, are mostly for children, but the quality is just so ridiculously high that people of all ages are drawn to it. I loved Princess Mononoke when I was young, and I would probably enjoy watching it today as well.

Studio Ghibli is basically the anime version of Disney, they're fabled and practically known as some of the best anime available for anybody to enjoy.
Ask any anime watcher and even people that don't watch anime, they know of Studio Ghibli.
If anybody here is baiting, it's you, who clearly hasn't seen any Studio Ghibli whatsoever.

I liked a couple of shows when I was a kid, but it's not really my thing. Although, Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 still holds up really well. Also the movie Perfect Blue is pretty great

But somewhy anime addicts are weird looking socially awkward dead inside femboys.
They are harmless and defenseless, and if they get thrown in real independent life without parents when they have to work, communicate with people and use their brains, they are getting overwhelmed by cruel reality.
Why is that ? I don't know, but it's very common at least here in Russia.

I used to think that anime sucked but then out of sheer boredom I watched the first couple of episodes of death note and I was instantly hooked.
Anime is bad if you're not a child or an adult with a poorly developed brain.

It is targeted at an auditory of people under 16, and i won't lie i liked it when i was that age. Comedy is atrocious in anime, the only time i laughed watching anime was when watching baki but only because of it's absurdity, the show is shit nevertheless. So the only thing you can watch anime for is the plot, and like 99% of modern anime is pure "comedy", slices of life with no plot, just weak plot with tons of fanservice and maybe some 5/10 mediocre shows. Theres good anime such as Claymore, Made in Abyss and first 2/3 of Death Note maybe, but that contributes to the 1% and ultimately is just not worth the hassle it takes to find them.
Tried deathnote (quit 30 sec into the intro, couldnt stand the japanese singing, it was cringe)

Monster (this one was decent compared to the other two, i managed to watch 3-4 episodes but i forgot to keep watching it)

If you turned off death note because of the intro then I don’t know what to tell you. You’re not even trying to give it a chance if you just see everything as “cringe” for no reason. Maybe try attack on titan. I dont know of any "cringe" that will make you stop watching after 30 seconds into it. Yup I just pre checked the first 30 seconds and I think you would be good to go
