i wonder if youve ever been addicted to something. im sure it started as a harmless "hobby" for him, he may have bet when he was really young and might have even won something. but once it turns to addiction you start doing bad things, and its 100% the site's fault for enabling such things. the whole problem would have been prevented if there was regulations and restrictions on those sites. doesn't help that most big streamers have advertised every scam site in existence since skins were introduced into the game.

Yea if you think being a pro / semi-pro player that decides to matchfix when he bets on his matches is 100% site's fault then you are a dumbass.
If site that he was betting at banned him, he would've found different one, if that one would ban him, once again he would find a different one. This isn't about site, but about the player being a scum.
That guy scammed for over 100k and you are still defending him.
I agree gambling is a problem, and there are underaged players playing in colors of casinos, but gambling isn't that hard to quit compared to other addictions (I should know), and if you really are so badly involved in it, you can put up restrictions on the site or your bank.
No excuses.

bro, matchfixin is bad, but you need to understand that it happens because there is an addiction behind it. youre fully blaming joel for everything and dont even want to recognize how bad the real problem is. and youre talking about how gambling isnt hard to quit? thats literally the worst type of addiction. not only you lose all your money you start doing shady shit just so you can gamble more.

Matchfixing doesn't need to happen because of addiction, in this case yes, but in most of the other cases, it happens just to grab a bag.
I literally adressed the problem, that even young people are promoting it, eventho they can't even gamble yet which is wrong. Overall in this business just promoting is wrong, but hey it's a bag, that's all it is about and we won't stop it.
And as I guy who was addicted to gambling. Yes quitting is very easy. Now I even just bet for fun, like yearly deposit of 15$.. Because it makes the matches more interesting and I know I'll lose the money.

Yea from 100$ a week to a 15$ a year just to make NFL & tournaments like EPL more interesting I would call quitting.
Eventho I had hard profit I knew I had a problem, I lost 20, so* I bet 40 to get it back etc.
Now I just make a 10@ ticket for 0.5 just so watching the match I have some1 to cheer for etc..

And also, there are consequenses for your actions. Joel is an 18-year old, which is LEGALLY an adult. Crying about "no, you need to understand" tells more about your character than you'd think, it's just an excuse and a childish thing to say. The only thing that makes him learn is learning the hard way.
He should take resposability anyway, addiction is an excuse, for how hard it can be to overcome it.
In life nothing is fair, it is what it is most of the time.
