the number 1 fantasy team has Hooxi, floppy, rainwaker, and elige tell me again how fantasy isnt luck based and objectively bad teams dont win all the team

see fantasy as you see betting and you won't get stressed, betting is not logical

it is luck based ofc, you choose players with literally no info on how a team plays, and team form changes like every week or so

Yes, there is a lot of luck involved, but I admit that I prefer it this way than at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022 with every team being FaZe + NAVI combo

Nah it was much better because it also included tier 2/3 games (90% of playerbase have no clue about anything below tier1) so good cs knowledge was actually rewarded, now its just "guess who does more eco kills from highest ranked teams" simulator, whole top 100 is occupied by people who pick same team (Zywoo+apex+NertZ etc.) every event.

The topic is about randomness and you include tier 2/3 matchfixing events in the conversation :skull:. (Words from someone who was better at Fantasy when tier 2/3 events were included). And Fantasy is not made for CSGO maniacs like you who watch tier 3 matches, it's made for the vast majority to be more 'inclusive' and obviously, generate more interest from more people, = more clicks on the website to HLTV owners.

Thats exactly where fun part was, we had 3-4 games at same time and even if you lose one you still have another ones where you can win. Now its just boring 2-3 games per month with same teams again and again. And i dont even watch any games at all besides NaVi, Ence and Furia lol, all you need is to know how to work with stats/results and thats it, doesnt matter what tier it is.

The Season Ranking would not be as competitive because many people work, study, have a life and would not be able to have time to analyze each of the 4 Fantasies going on and make their team. And there is already the Partner Game with these mickey mouse tier 3 events. ''all you need is to know how to work with stats/results and thats it, doesnt matter what tier it is.''. Lol yes, If Fantasy is that easy and simple, where are your 3 top 1% in a row?

I had 3 Top 1% in a row in Rio Major actually thanks to Furia and Heroic xd, its not rocket science bro, flukes like CoL or MR happen but thats rarity, you will bever go below Top 30% with Vitality or lets say prime NaVi. Risking and winning 25 is what was best aspect of this game (because you couldn`t win season with 8-10 "safe" points), now its gone because there are no point of risking when you can climb to the top while scoring 12-15 every game with same team for every event. Not to mention that new price system is absolute nonsense, one event its hampus for 150k and next event its Snappi for 192k lol, Fantasy become so much worse after update, no fun at all.

Well considering your rank 4800 Im not surprised you don't believe that 3x 25 is possible lol, for players like you it's indeed luck to get top 1% xd

It's possible if you can prove to me that you had 3x 25 points in a row, otherwise it's just your word against mine

Bro you have 100 excuses for everything it's literally league 137180 and 137512 there no other in between. Previous one was 137179 (EU showdown) and next one is literally Legends Stage. If you can't count that's not my problem idk
2023-09-22 02:03
Fantasy is luck, but in the long run of the season it mostly evens out and you can compare how well you've actually done.

Yes, it is mostly luck-based. Further proved by the fact that most previous fantasy winners weren't really able to replicate their success again (apart from UnfriendlyV, iirc? idk). People who say otherwise (that it requires 'skill' or 'analysis' or whatever) are simply wrong and/or think too much of themselves for getting a top 1% finish once, lol.

I actually agree with many people thinking they are experts just for placing top 1% in one fantasy game. For me, that is luck. For placing consistently high on the leaderboard is not luck. There are many ways for you to get past the average user and do better but the average user doesn't really care that much and therefore not placing high. After the season I won I placed 2022 fantasy spring season top 1,5% 2022 fantasy fall season top 1% 2023 fantasy spring season top 1,2% A video where I talk about it youtube.com/watch?v=skP_xYeBet4

>For placing consistently high on the leaderboard is not luck. Yes, completely agreed. However, what I rather insinuated was that the previous winners did not win again, as there is lots of luck/RNG elements involved and one cannot consistently win every season. You can still be consistent in placing high, though.

pretty sure this new fantasy is just gonna be between Chelo & b0rup pickers... two ludicrously low-priced non igl players on good teams with 60%+ HS rate... theyre definetly gonna tweak the prices

i want to see who plays who before picking something, but yeah those prices are poopa, 192 for apex when he's ussually around 180
2023-09-22 02:31
you should talk when all games are over, it's almost always better to pick consistent players because they will deliver throughout all their games. there is absolutely zero chance that he wins this fantasy.

im still salty not sticking with my initial pick i would be top 10-15% righ now(
2023-09-22 02:25
yes its obviously luck based you cant predict Spinx was going to score 100 points in one match after some deep shit analysis fantasy literally ended after day 1 for those who didnt pick him
2023-09-22 04:05
Getting good placement in one fantasy could be luck. Getting consistent good placements every season is not luck.
