No its not that they have no igl.
Its the fact that they have awful spirits.
Look at their faces aftering losing liquid map pick. It looks like the just got eliminated from the major.
All the time they all look depressed. They need to remove someone and bring in a player (or coach) who can keep the spirits up with a well timed joke or uplifting speech.
Reminds me of navi after they lost boom4bl and everyone was just depressed and toxic. All the top teams in cs history have good attitudes.

The cloud 9 roster has never been a cheery bunch. Mostly stoic and keeping their emotions inside only showing when they struggle but not much when they win. It might be time for them to completely change the way they play because whatever they're doing now isn't working.
They need to remove groove, for real. Stop playing those stupid setups all the way in the sites, 0 info, 0 proactivity, just waiting for 5 people to rush you and hope you can win with 2.
On t side i see no balls, slow setups all the rounds. Ffs you have elec, axile, shiro just fkn rush and trade. They just save the smokes and mollys since you are always slow.
Its like vp but without jame, it hurts to watch them.

Don't forget the fact that every single T side they have played at the EPL have been plagued by a severe lack of trade potential when they do take fights. It looked a little better for the first half of Inferno here, but it's still really poor.

Which may have been exactly what that Na'Vi needed, don't forget that when boomich was igl, that meant you had electronic free for fragging, and it coincided with elec's actual career peak.
Just because that is what that Na'Vi needed, that doesn't mean that the same logic applies to this team.

It's as simple as this: Unrealistic and fanatic expectations and not living up to said potential.
This team can definitely gel well with time, they definitely have the roster to do so; but despite mediocre success and a general underperformance by C9's star-players, they're still a new roster under a brand new leadership regime.
Nobody is giving them time...

I still think this team needs a mental coach. I've been saying this since c9 first acquired gambit.
I dont think this team needs changes but I was really hoping hobbit would become more of a hype man.

Yeah, it's maddening how much hype is killing this Cloud9 team before it's even left the gate with it's faculties in check.
I was originally against Electronic replacing Nafany and when the roster change was first rumoured, I posted a lot about how beneficial it would be to have Electronic replace Hobbit and keep Nafany, and I got slated for it. Now here we are and those posts are no longer relevant...
It's history now and if this roster is going to work as intended, it definitely needs more time than a few months, especially with how unlucky they were with the opponents they had to face at the tournaments.

I do think even if electronic wants to igl I'd rather have nafany on the team.
Hes a good hype man, and hes a decent entry and all they have is 1 agressive players and 4 passive players.
As you said, thats all history now. I don't think this team will be top1 without replacing hobbit with a hype man but I do think with time this team WILL fight for trophies, make finals and be top5

Yeah, Hobbit is the current weak link but I can't solely blame Hobbit when Ax1Le and sh1ro were also missing and only Electronic and Perfecto were doing most of the leg-work.
Cohesion and synergy is a problem (one of the reasons I opted to keep Nafany), as the IGL is allowed to have bad games, Hobbit and your star-players on the other hand? Not so much... When your support player was averaging a 1.12 rating and hard-carrying, then that's clearly an issue but great potential, most definitely.
I think if the team are mentally stable, then Hobbit will be to, as that is one of the reasons Gambit were so successful originally in 2021, Hobbit would secondary-call and mentally aid in wisdom to the younger, more capable talent.

My complaint with hobbit is threefold
1. he obviously doesnt have the firepower he use to
2. with electronic & perfecto they dont need him for his experience
3. sh1ro completely took over the secondary caller role
now even though I just listed 3 negatives for hobbit, I wanna clarify that I still dont want him kicked. It hasnt been long enough. If c9 are still bad by december than we can start talking about changes. like you said at the start of this discussion, its too early. Let the team breathe, just because navi are doing well doesnt mean every new team is suppose to
