cs2 gonna be released soon. When it was first announced, I created a huge hype about it. Yesterday, after playing it for 6 hours straight, I felt that cs2 <<<< csgo in every single aspect, except graphiffics and skins. Then I realized that whenever I did set high expectations for a game's release, I always end up disappointed. And I think this will also happen this time. It's not like cs2 is bad. but its not as much satisfying as csgo. Headshots, spray transfer, movement, etc... it`s not the same. this made me wonder why Valve would release a game that is  worse in terms of mechanics but visually better. and the answer is probably greed for making more money from skins. valve logic: ``whatever if gameplay is worse than previous version. Better skins means more money, so let's do it. Our playerbase is fucking retarded anyway; they are going to swallow it. Just inspect your new beautiful skins or nades to forget how this game is worse than GO.`` it`s really sad bros

Movement and gunplay are the two core mechanics that define CS. They have had 4 months to get this right. Of course there are going to be a lot of jank and bugs that gets past QA, thats 100% to be expected. But movement and shooting should be perfect on release, anything else is indefensible.

sadly he is right. even anticheat could be postponed. which is like the 3rd most important thing. but gunplay for sure not. that is the simulation, the feeling like in a good car game, the bread and butter of cs.

It's a completely new engine, the gunplay was never going to be identical to CS:GO's. Source, 1.6 and CS:GO all feel wildly different from each other as well. Gunplay is also one of the hardest things to get right, because the "feel" of a game can be majorly altered by even the smallest changes.

I feel like its somewhat common sense, right? Counterstrike players especially will notice and complain about even the smallest things, and an engine shift is more then a series of small changes. Even slight changes in visual feedback or audio design can majorly change how a game feels

What's your problem? I wouldn't go so far as to call Valve developers incompetent. The string of code is called copy&paste programming, which is not a case of CS2 at all. Usually incompetent programmers do copy shit from stackoverflow.com and use it in their code, but that's no something that would pass peer review at Valve. They are not incompetent fucks there. You should cut some slack to them, and stop insulting them when you clearly have no conception of software development. It's not a mental gymnastics of any kind, you just are misinformed.

Calm the fuck down. They're not fucking with you. There's tons of other people who submit bug reports. Look, Valve does push QA to people who are willing to do that work. It's a fucking scam in my opinion, and they may be a bit fucked up in the response department, but whatever. It's nothing personal, you just admit to work free for them. There's probably too much volume of bug reports to make them handle each of them and response to you personally. Again, nothing personal from them, you're just a sucker doing the work that they should be doing themselves.

stop with this stupid 'csgo was shit on launch' argument. it's the dumbest argument ever, it doesn't matter how a game was on launch 10 years ago, it's a completely different scenario. csgo was released to make a transition from 1.6 + css to csgo. this is a game that will be released and will completely replace csgo, it's not a new game that people will maybe transition to and play, it doesn't need to be perfect, it doesn't need to be as good as csgo, but it needs to at least be close to csgo and not completely suck like it is now, why would we downgrade instead of just waiting a bit longer for a complete game so we won't get this half baked garbage.

Imo most of cs2 isn't really worse then csgo, its just different. Things like spray, smokes, visibility, aren't worse, or even necessarily better, they just take getting used to. Only exception i can think of is the movement. CS:GO's movement feels a lot better, even as a very casual/unskilled player

once you escape the "premier only" mode, things will change... and there will be many updates until the game will work perfectly. For the moment dying while behind the wall is still a thing... so it definitely needs adjustments.

Felt like this when GO came out compared to 1.6 it was shit af. They will fix it, but I hate that they’re being stubborn with some issues that they must have known will come up. Also forcing the release, cancelling a major and backing themselves into a corner. So next major might be played on a half finished game with plenty of unresolved bugs/issues.
