Of the people in the CS scene as a whole, karrigan, maniac, sjokz and Richard Lewis are the only ones I can think of with degrees
Most t1 players don't have one simply because by the time they have finished their CS career they are basically set for life or can just take some sort of internal org position because of their experience
Org management will have some people with degrees but with how atrocious most of these orgs are ran I don't think you can speak to their quality/validity

Yeah probably but if he stays in the tier 1 scene for few more years he will have more than enough money to never work again. Also he would have better chances in the esport scene as coach or analyst because of his popularity and knowledge. If he goes to uni he will not earn shit for like +4 years and is 10 years behind his age group.

I know, i'm just saying that if he choosed a different path in the past like University rather than esports, he would do great as well. Probably so many pros would do bad at university but Aleksi would do great i guess.

Mostly older players because back in the days esports was not as profitable, degrees still had a higher value and esports as a whole was way more risky as a career choice. Nowadays it is pretty safe, as there are a lot of ways to earn money somewhat consistently.

Most pros have room temp IQ. I remember a video made by ESL like 2 years ago (not available atm) where pros were asked some basic questions like "at what temperature does water boil?" and some of them werent able to answer it.

People with high IQ can memorize much more information but whatever.
You would expect that people lacking very basic knowledge are not very smart. Lack of knowledge doesnt have to mean that someone has low IQ, yes, but it usually correlates.

I dont think modern pros really have the time to actually do degrees unless they are outrageously talented and can spend time on university while playing.
and if they are that talented better off spending the time on esports and becoming a t1 player rather than university.
you act like if you don't play pro CS you automatically have a degree, rather than having a job that doesn't require a degree. ridiculous. there's more to life than having a useless degree lol
