if you just simplify everything like that, it’s very easy to compare two very different things. Arsenal plays locally, CSGO teams play internationally, that’s the biggest difference. Arsenal is closer to an OWL/CDL team if anything. I’m from near San Francisco so I’d support San Francisco Shock, regardless of whether they have NA players or not, but I’d never support TSM despite them being from the US cuz they have a European CS team.

Many football clubs dont have their own stadiums and more often then not they play outside their areas, the only things football players represent is the their club logo on the shirt which says that "this player was hired by this organisation and meets all obligations which are provided by the contract clauses".
Cs players more often then not play at the same area (bootcamp training grounds), also represent their orgs with the logos on their shirts and are involved in community all the time via Twitter or YouTube, or HLTV for that matter.

teams that dont have their stadium will play on a public stadium from their city
they play outside their area when playing against other clubs that will be playing locally thats the whole concept of "home" and "away" lol
yeah? just because they're an NA org doesn't mean they're an NA team. if the logic of "NA org = NA team" was applied, Luminosity's major win was a win for NA.

I consider Luminosity winner to be NA team for sure. The only real ground for me in this dispute is where money comes from? (for salaries, marketing etc) and who are major share holders, and most importantly, what country an org is due to pay taxes. If all those conincide - then its easy to define. If not, for instance taxes are paid in US but main stock holders are from Saudi Arabia - then its partly US, partly Saudi org.
As an org founder i can hire 5 monkey to play CS (all those monkey could be from different part of the worlds) but if i am a US org my team of monkeys will be considered to be NA team.

if some of these players combine into one team, we could definitely have a team that could win some international matches.
M80 just needs a better player in place of reck and malbs (malbs is really good at farming tier 2 but completely chokes vs tier 1)

i think the problem rn is that you kinda can't combine all the best NA talent into a "superteam"
most roster moves would just be a sidegrade or a slight upgrade, not enough of a difference to justify shaking up team synergy etc.
there just isn't a lot of outstanding talent atm
