Cs2 is just beyond broken and there's no point giving valve money anymore.
I hope there will still remain a way to play csgo even if it's removed from steam, otherwise I think I will just play valorant.

It's a great game but the amount of hackers it has right now is insane. Much worse than any other FPS game right now. The RTM system in the game ensures that hackers will thrive in it for a long time until they make big changes, but I don't see that happening any time soon since BSG doesn't acknowledge the rampaging hacker problem.

I have to play cs2 at 60fps 720p or it crashes my pc whereas cs and valorant are 300+ fps with 1080p and even with that the cs2 mechanics feel almost like valorant so what's the point?

Valorant is still a completely different game with chars, abilities and other trash.
and I'm pretty sure the fps thing is gonna be fixed later on. u won't get 300 but still enough to play the game. There's a theory that different people are playing on differnet versions of the beta. It's a common thing for developers to collect the data and compare to release the best possible product

I don't even have a super good computer (GPU: 2070 super, CPU: 3800x) and get pretty consistent ~200 fps with 1920x1080.
Have you tried disabling FSR yet, otherwise Just get a better PC broke boi

Online fps games offer you the possibility to compete with other people and makes you think, while Single player games allows you to enjoy beautiful graphics with the other bots. They are either too easy, or force you to exploit boring mechanics like spamming barrel roll to avoid damage in combat. Perhaps in 50 years we'll get single player games that offer good, human like encounters from the AI.

Not all single player games are RPGs and even still those rpg make you think way more than cs ever will if you dont play in the highest level you can and just play MM. In csgo you also compete with your dumb af, toxic af and trash in general teamates who waste 1 hour of your life each time playing a game that you dont even wanna play because of these bots who cant function in a team game. I got global and faceit level 10 playing solo, this game has nothing else to offer to people like me so yeah single player games, racing games and fun coop games 100x more enjoyable nowadays and you have more variety than playing the same shit every day. And its literally a shit game now too. All this waiting for source 2 for this.

If you really dislike the game that much, stop playing it. It's certainly not for everyone
I've played a lot of single player games, and not one of them made me think more than 2 seconds what to do. Most of them are literally pointing you where to go and telling you what to do.
I see what you mean but far not every game would be described by that. Plus I'm not reserved to one specific genre, I'm fan of gaming in general and my main goal is to achieve as many achievements as possible. I could even say I don't enjoy the gaming that much, more like achieving and decorating my profile.. That's a strange thing to say but it's true. This possibility of earning achievements and getting different trophies made gaming interesting for me again and that's the main reason I'm playing!

I was so hopeful for diabotical, but the devs really misplayed that one. Shutting down the servers during the initial global covid shut down because of needing to do more "development" was the worst thing they could have done. I realize it was beta, but the servers were jam packed...by the time they finally brought it back online (3 months I think?) the playerbase had already come and gone onto valorant beta. Arena shooters will forever be my favorite game type...overwatch is tolerable for me but I only enjoy the tdm / ctf arena modes.
cs2, only for cases+drops, not 4 fun anymore
maybe some singleplayer games (re4 remake, m&b 2, state of decay 2, another completion of tes series: morrowind/oblivion/skyrim; fallout new vegas), maybe some mp shooters (kf2, wwz, r6 or even pubg) or another mp games (dbd, deep rock galactic)

Ok, I changed my mind, I’ll be playing Quake Champions and Fortnite
single player games in my library i never finished bc i always prefered playing csgo, but now with cs2 it might be fun to complete some of them and as for a main fps game i dont think i'll have one :/ maybe focusing on some IRL stuff too would be nice now that im not gonna spend 60 hours per week getting tilted in cs + all the esport that took up time before :D

+1 with cs2 my love/hate relationship with cs go was mostly fixed. I dont feel the need to grind anymore. Cs go is dead and cs2 is clunky asf.

Why would i play any other game and in this case a FPS? CS is the only one, the best, and it will keep being the best. Everytime i played a different shooter i keep returning back, because there is no other one that can compare.
CS2 will be just fine, and it will be even better than any other CS we ever had.
If the game after release is in bad state I will probably play it but substantially less than I play now. I will probably watch a lot of pro cs because Im actually curious how the meta will develop.
Will play nothing until they fix cs2 to the point where it's playable.

i can't believe it, i have just built my first pc ever (i5 10400f + 1050ti) since last year just to play csgo after all those years playing in internet cafe & on my potato laptop with 45fps. and now my pc will become potato again... wtf, if cs2 is too heavy for my pc, i guess i will quit playing cs, just watch movies instead smh 😕

Good point, game releases and people’s reaction to them have changed a lot in recent years. People want all or nothing or will lash out and tank a new games image
When do you think CSGO will be permanently removed and you will no longer be able to play online? I heard some unofficial rumors that when CS2 comes out, CSGO will automatically be off since CS2 will come in the form of a CSGO update.
But I also think that there are tier 1,2,3 tournaments already announced for this year to be played in CS GO until mid-December, so it would be stupid for them to remove CSGO.
What do you think? Does anyone have any official confirmed information on this regarding when CSGO will no longer be able to be played online?
