Nah other than consistency they need to beat 1 tier S team. In my definition a tier 1 is a team that has the possibility (proved) they can beat anyone.
Ef still hasnt beat vitality ir g2.

there is no clear definition for the term tier1, so it doesn't really matter what you or I consider to be done for them to be tier1
they are playing well but whether they are tier 1 will be determined by the next 3 - 6 months of play.

Wouldn't say tier 1 yet. They need to go playoffs in 3-5 events in a row then I can agree that EF is tier 1. Also it's EPL and there won't be crowd like in Cologne, majors, Katowice etc.

NIP, Fnatic and Liquid have partnership contracts, but not seen as tier 1 teams. At the moment I see like max 6-8 teams that are in playoffs most of the events.

those teams have heavily fallen off recently and would probably be tier 1.5 (not to say that EF isn't better than them, these teams just aren't very consistent.)

Not yet, it takes so much time to claim a team as t1. If EF can continue this performance at 3-4 S tier events in a row, then we can take this into consideration. Thanks.
They're finally finding their form after spending years in tier 3/tier 2.
Let's not ruin it by overrating their successes, any result here is a win for EF and they know it, it's just riding the coat tails of success now and seeing how far they'll go.
If half of them were 5 years younger EF would be a deep tournament run roster, I don't know how long they can keep up at their ages unless there's some young talent yet to come
