Yeah, you also have to factor in addiction. How is alcohol so normalized at least in western societies despite the fact that it's addictive and detrimental to your health? I think religion and traditional beliefs play a huge role in making sure these things doesn't become the norm because of the harm they can impose on the society as a whole which sadly is no longer favoured.

it's all about marketing, advertisers intentionally present it in a way that you use alcohol to have a good time and so people in the west reinforce this belief in social settings. in the west religion doesn't really serve as a deterrent because christianity is the predominant religion and while the bible specifically warns against drunkenness, it actually promotes the consumption of alcohol to a certain degree and with addictive personalities sometimes it only takes a couple of drinks for your brain to see it as an coping mechanism, no matter how unhealthy. the addict mind is also very good at rationalizing use and minimizing the negative consequences (speaking from experience, i'm a recovering alcoholic)

alcohol also relaxes social norms and lets people of different backgrounds come together in celebration that wouldn't otherwise happen at all.
it's not all detrimental. only if it goes out of control it's bad much like everything else. even religion is like that. if you partake in too much religion and tradition you'll end up fucking up everything you love and care for.
What do you mean no shit? The point is just that they repeat their bad behavior and people shouldn't have expected him to change.

I laughed so goddamn hard when I first read it
Said the n word on stream while drunk a few years ago. Was given a second chance after some time. But then last year he got drunk again and started fights while in Rio (Rio Major obviously), I think it was towards gaules and friends. Which he then got kicked out of casting and hasn't been hired once since then.

Semmler is fool for switching to Overwatch, but other than that I always enjoyed this combo of Anders and him
Semmler seems to mostly spend his days seething about trans people and being a general manchild on twitter so i doubt anyone will ever hire that walking PR nightmare in cs ever again. Sad what happened, hearing anders and semmler casts always bring back good memories.

Scrawny and Launders deserve to be at every event. Sadokist can just return to being a belligerent drunk guy outside the CS scene.

I don't agree that Sadokist is better than Scrawny. Scrawny is talented af and is very similar to Sadokist when casting. Plus I prefer Launders to HenryG (when Henry and Sado were casting together).

He's a bit monotone but at least when he talks CS it makes sense. Moses is also monotone as all hell and people still like him, and I much prefer Launders to Moses. As a side-caster, he's very good, imo. He and scrawny complement each other.
