You play 1 vs everyone else. What exactly do you practice?
You obvious choice is to camp, because you end up fighting several enemies at once and they're never in one place because one of them kill the other one, so almost all the time you have at least one enemy behind your back and then someone else will peak at you from anywhere.
Again - what is that exact skill of yours that you improve in such conditions?

FFA DM is very efficient to train movement+aim. you get to face real opponents in (semi) real scenarios (well you decide where to play) and you can practice greatly counter strafing, A / D , W / S (or bind it to different key for easier access) ^ one of the most important skills in FPS.
It is the asisest way to farm xp to get weekly case

Not enough spots on a server. Not endless time, have to reload and awping is not limited to VIPs.
It's horrible. I tried it and couldn't even walk a foot. The maps just aren't big enough and the spawns are dogshit.

Most of the people you run into who do the camping-for-kills-in-DM shit are people who don't even understand the game or its objectives. A lot of the time it's all they play, since they believe KDR is the point of CS, which obviously isn't the case.

It's one thing if you're doing it to train certain mechanics, or if you're aware enough to understand informational timings so you just don't move because it'd spawn you somewhere else since you'd take an impossible fight, but most campers are really just in it for KDR and that's about it.
Like, in my experience, people who camp look for one or two very specific spots on a map and try to get there consistently. If they can't, they die a lot, but once they're there they won't budge. It's not really a useful away of playing. Sure, they can do what they want, but in a real game of CS it's a totally pointless exercise and makes them utterly useless.
But, again, most of those types don't even play traditional CS.
My conclusion is that you're the problem, since you seem to be unable to focus on practicing something.

community dm servers do server a purpose. but they are not as fun as racing against other players to earn the first place. just shows you have not played valve ffa dm in its true essence. and you have a negative bias against it just because "boohoo valve 64 tick servers i cryyy"

community dm servers are not as fun as valve ffa dm. no fucking way. it might be perfect for chilling or practicing some particular aspect of your aim, but not as fun.
moreover, the fact that you have not presented any opinions about why you think valve ffa dm servers are bad, goes on to show you have never tried it seriously.
if you've ever felt the adrenaline rush after climbing 4 places in the last 1 minute remaining to take 1st position, you will understand what i mean. but because you have never done that, no you dont understand valve ffa dm. you have never even tried valve ffa dm servers seriously maybe either because of your bias, or you never had the chance to do that.

Except if you are a good player there is really no competition to be the first in DM when you are better than everyone else there 90% of the time. You don't get any satisfaction from winning in DM when that's the expected outcome.

this is a great take.
cs2 beta ffa dm has been ridiculously fun so far for me. initially there were some top players from my region consistently grinding ffa dm because there were no other options, and thats why it was so fun. but i agree with time the community will get more divided and the games might be stomps.
you're just wasting your own time if you're tryharding dm lol, just warm up your aim by swinging around corners and taking head on fights, dying means literally absolutely nothing in dm

i think the csgo mm 1v1 are actually more effiecient in practicing than ffa dm

16 people is too many for the server; 12 would be better.
you train reactions, reflexes, crosshair placement, pre aims, spray, movement basically everything.
you try to check angles as fast as possible, even behind you. you practise your crosshair placement and reaction
