Americas Team

Should SA and NA consider creating a lineup together, in hopes of developing a true contender in tier 1? While I am hopeful for both Complexity and PaiN to continue to develop into solid teams, is it time for the Americas to create a lineup together again? The last time (I can remember at least) this occurred, was when SK transitioned to MIBR, and during that process, let TACO and zews leave to Liquid, and kicked boltz, to add recent Major winners Stewie2K and Tarik. While disappointing, the lineup actually won FalleN and fer's last tournament victory, their only one since 2017. Currently both scenes are struggling in tier 1 and are trying to develop their tier 2 scenes. They have pretty similar issues, and perhaps their best shot is together. Let's say, for example, Liquid decided EU wasn't the right move, and instead pursued a team of North and South Americans, keeping on NAF from their current roster. Obviously, I have no insider knowledge of roster dynamics/changes, but I would assume for the right price, virtually any NA/SA player would be available. South American Options: Biguzera, Skullz, KSCERATO, yuurih, insani, dgt, Lucaozy, etc. North American Options: ELIGE, Grim, Junior, HexT, Autimatic, malbsMd, etc. I think a pretty damn good team could be made with these options. Ofc not all are realistic options, like Grim, KSCERATO, etc. but you know, just throwing names out there. I think it would be pretty interesting.

There are many arguments for why it could happen and why it wouldn’t. Take EliGE. Guy speaks Portuguese fluently and has played with Brazilians before so he wouldn’t have problems joining a Brazilian team. It could’ve happened during the last transfer window/off-season, but somehow it didn’t. Which is really weird because comparing with any Brazilian, his buyout was crazy low to a player as good as him. I can’t conceive the idea that he didn’t receive any offers, so my reasoning would be that he didn’t want to leave NA. But even if the most “international” Americans player doesn’t move, the others aren’t probably going to either. Most Brazilians do not speak English and none NA player speaks Portuguese, so the language barrier is too strong. Mind that I’m ignoring the rest of SA because I ain’t touching this 9z roster. Back to main point, realistically, I would’ve built a EliGE + malbsMd + biguzera + skullz + drop for paiN during the rostermania. I think this team would work and wouldn’t be 100% impossible to happen. I doubt an Americas team is happening going forward, unlike Valorant, and with the regions current state, I think it would be impossible to happen in NA. Great reflection btw

Stats over the last 6 months: (rating, then rating against top 5/10/20) oSee: 1.06 rating, 1.06/1.07/1.04 HEN1: 1.21 rating, 0.94/0.92/1.01 Nqz: 1.07 rating, 0 games against the top 5/1.38(just 1 game)/1.06 Saffee: 1.06 rating, 1.02/1.01/1.00 None of them are good awpers, but oSee is arguably the best of them. HEN1's numbers are SUPER inflated by playing poor tier 2 SA teams. Like, it's actually crazy lol.

OSee has put up better t1 peformaces recently than all three of thoses mentioned above

It would be nice. But there are some obstacles... Currently, termination penaltys for most brazilian players are too expensive. To give you an idea, Fluxo paid US$ 325K to Sharks for Lucaozy. The same as Pain paid to have Zevy. It would have to be a very rich organization to hire good brazilian players. Is it possible to form a tier 1 team with players without a contract? Taco, hardzao, venomzera, nython, detr0ittJ...? Also, I don't know which players speak English fluently. (I don't know how to speak english well either)
