You don't buy the game, you buy your access to it through steam and by creating an account you agree to all Valve's rules. They can ban you, remove some games, change stuff in some other way and it's still perfectly legal. Read the ToS before clicking accept.

CS:GO got updates earlier also, they didn't have to change the name.. It's a new version of the game. Why they kept CS 1.6 and Source.. CS:GO could be an update of Source also. Game is also on the new Engine called Source 2, even bigger difference compared Source to CS:GO Windows 10 gets an upgrades still it's Windows 10 not Windows 11.

there were a lot of major changes when they released source and csgo it completely felt like a new game but now i still feel like im playing the same game with the same mechanics ofcourse i am sad and feel like a part of me is missing but im sure i'll be able to play csgo when i want some nostalgia so i just don't think it is a big deal
