Is it only me, or hitting hs with ak and deagle feels 30-40% easier? Feels like valulrant ngl. If everyone can hit hs, then it makes the game much more tactical?

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
It is easier. Spraying is much harder. My HS rate is now 60% in DM. Previously it was about 45%. Why? I think the movement made it easier as well as the subtick. I don’t mind the instant click and pop head tech but the slow swinging definitely has to be fixed.

the movement speed is literally the same you're just fighting the same sized hitboxes rather than in CS:GO where you were fighting hitboxes that had gigantic differences in size depending on the model someone was using

might be because accel is slower but only by a margin. doesn't seem intentional though since they want jiggle peeking to be the same as CS:GO but who knows. Lack of communication from Valve sucks ass

yeah its easier since you dont actually need to land your shots, it just gives free hs as far as you are close or were close to where his head was like 0,3s ago youre good

theres 20 million clips on youtube with shots like that, so i think there is a lot of evidence. its probably caused by lag compensation.

most likely candidate for it indeed. could be that the combination of subtic and lag compensation makes these lotto moments become true. imo valves cs2 64 subtick has a better hit reg compared to csgo 64 subtick but faceit 128 subtick on csgo had the Best HIT and MISS registration.

no its not, there is clear proof that subtick is superior than tickrate, the problem is the fact that we have subtick with tickrate working together so there are lots of times where it feels like there is lag cause of the tickrate.

I had low hs % in Csgo, but I still hate CS2. I knew I was garbage in previous game, and new game should NOT give me the easier way to kill better players than me. Counter Strike was always about skill difference mechanically, now I feel like even girls will play CS way more often since game is pretty easy

yeah, the skill gap between 4k elo and 2k elo is now much smaller imo cuz its much easier to shoot.

They lowered the skill ceiling so much that you need an excavator to get under it. You can see it easily in leetify stats. In CS:GO average HS% was like 20% for faceit 10 (HS from all hits, not kills) and now it is closer to 35-50%

One reason you hit more headshots is also the fact that spraying is so much more difficult so you are more focused on hitting that first bullet hs than trust you get the kill by spraying. It might even be that you unconsciously do that because when playing you have noticed you can't really spray anymore.

yes but only for a small part. for the biggest part this is your ego justifying for you why you are hitting more hs in cs2 then you did in csgo. because you havent changed so how can it be that I hit more hs? interpolation, hitbox size, subtick are the technical aspects that everyones ego should include before you straight up go rewarding yourself :D dont worry this is normal. let me tell you there are even aimbot users out there whoms ego start to buy in the idea that they are this good themselves :D :D its funny how easily you see the dumb fool themselves. the human brain at works to compensate for the lack of what it does not know nor understand while trying to make sense out of that “new cs” reality. its doing wonders. same with people whom overvalue trust factor and have a very small idea of what a cheater ingame looks like.

Yeah ofc it also is easier to hit headshots in CS2 than in CSGO, but I think mental part is also pretty significant. If you can only get kills by headshots you naturally start going for more headshots and by constantly playing for just hs kills you learn to get better at it. Yeah I feel like many who say they haven't met cheaters just haven't been able to recognize one. As someone who has played 6,5k hours of CSGO it's becoming quite easy to spot when someone plays suspiciously especially if they are on your team.

yeah I agree with you but as we are talking about both sides of the mental aspect I think we tend to dwell on a reason weve found specially a reason that is actual partly true it becomes harder for us humans to differentiate what is real or not or how much of that reason explains to what we are seeing. specially when skill is involved the ego tends to blow things out of proportion towards our own favor. is what ive found in humans. and that is a hard thing to grasp or get by. seeing we become so convinced of that reason that it blinds us partly. so lets say the legit reason you have found (I honestly believe its a legit reason) accounts for 8-10% for more hs in cs2? what number do you accuratelty think? 15% ? I can straight up tell you the technical side is far more significant towards more hs contribution when comparing cs2 to csgo. I dont mean to offend you.

Hard to say since it depends on the person how much mental affects their aim, but I'd say knowing you can't get kills by sprays and you (maybe unconsciously) start going for just headshots is probably like 50 % of the reason you get higher hs % and rest is the game working differently. So basically if your hs% is 10% higher in CS2 than in CSGO, 5% out of those 10 % come from yourself playing differently and the rest comes from the game working differently. Ofc just my opinion and no way to know for sure and it's different for different players. If you have always been going for just headshots (like b1t for example) then in CS2 the mental aspect doesn't matter much since you already had the mindset that you always need to hs and your higher hs% comes just mostly from game working differently. I have always been more a sprayer so the different mentality (have to hs because spraying sucks) affects me more.

Its not about hitreg. Hitboxes of head seems like 2x bigger than csgo ones. AK in CS2 accuracy = M4A1-s accuracy in CSGO. I really easily hit some shots that I would never hit in CSGO

that's not something I can take as evidence. Sure, works for you, to have data only accessible in your own head. Not my experience anyway. Players still evades second shot due to head dink-jerk movement when spraying at forehead level, and pulling down too quickly makes no headshots, so pretty sure the head hitboxes aren't any larger vertically at very least.

Create a bot, put your crosshair right beside their head and see it by yourself. If your crosshair is out of the frame and still reg as a hit then hitbox are larger. Thats all

there are two sides to this coin. together with larger hitbox and lag compensation and subtick registering more shots that actually are a hit. it also gives you more registered shots that are doubtful but decided it was a hit. aka subtick and lag compensation in a duality. imo believe it or not they should work more on the netcode. lag compensation. hitbox size of the head. experiment by reducing that value. in other words everyone is a bit too pleased with how many shots specially hs they are being rewarded/hitting. that believe it or not we wonder if the MISS shot registration is good or not :D arent we a bunch of whiners? :D but its true and imo I think it can be improved.

I agree,somehow it feels easier,I get surprised constantly what kind of shots I actually hit.But it helps that I'm against noobs with no rank. The game runs a lot smoother for me,fps is similar but there are no small stutters or freezes csgo used to have,that helps a lot

It's a fix to pay to win different agent hitboxes. Though I don't see anything bigger with my small test just before, #40. Though sas was supposed to have biggest head hitbox in csgo, so not sure if that plays a part. Either way it's a necessity for all agents to have same size of hitboxes!

They all use the SAS agent hitbox so really its more of a 4% head hitbox increase, but there must be something else going on with the hitbox because a 4% only increase is not much

So i made a bit of research and found out that the neck part of the hitbox has been almost removed in CS2, in CSGO the neck part reports as a body hit, but now the CS2 models almost have no neck, so the head hitbox now reaches lower and cover more in the "surface area" of the hitbox if you look at it from the front (like in 80% of aim duels) so thats way it feels like its easier to hit headshots is CS2, hitboxes are not that much bigger, they just cover more area on the body

My HS% in faceit is around 35% (as most of the time I was awper, but still - most of the time with rifles I was spraying). Now I have 70-75% hs rate per game, which is a joke. :D Sorry, but I'm not that good.

I had 60% hs in csgo, now it's up to 80% some games. Feels like bullets go where I'm looking, idk if my crosshair was perfect or not. If lag comp is giving free headshots then it's cringe but if game just registers hits better then I see no problem. Top level of cs was always about strategy first shooting second.

They improved the hitreg and now every model has the same hitbox size as the SAS models head. 4% bigger in surface area than the SAS model in CSGO which, btw, is almost unnoticeable: youtu.be/f0BiHZXg5oY?t=172 if they used the smallest hitbox from CSGO, the SAS model wouldn't have a hitbox for a little less than half his head...

I'm not a great player at all but playing premier, players are getting headshots A LOT more than before. I always look at headshot percentage and there's a major difference from CSGO. Now a team can easily have 50% + across the board.

went from 75%+ hs in csgo to 85%+ in cs2, but i feel like it's mainly due to the fact that body sprays are impossible now.
