when i play aimbotz in CS2 the game actually feels pretty decent. it is kinda smooth, it's responsive, i can hit flicks and spray and generally just trust my feeling and the game. but whenever i go play online it's all in the trash. the game doesn't feel that smooth/micro stuttering, but the worst thing is the hitreg feels so bad and random. like you can't trust your aim feeling anymore and the game rolls a dice. it's a really bad feeling. idk probably something with netcode? it's really the worst part of the game atm, otherwise the base game is decent if they continue to bring updates to it really.

how can you how so much lower fps in cs2 ? maybe something with settings ? set everything on low I had 400 fps in csgo and in beta I had 150 but now again 400 or more people have this problem ?

It's known cs2 is highly unoptimized and that fps are way lower compared to csgo, but for you to lose ~250 fps it's a you problem. That shouldn't be happening and I assure you it's not the game. Review your settings or hardware, with 400 in csgo you should be scoring easily 250-300 in cs2.

the problem is low settings in cs2, low settings give you trashest gameplay. my pc is shit but most things are high or ultra and it runs smooth and no stutters even with 140ish 150is, some maps 200 fps. on faceit. gpu 1660ti

audio is my only issue, above 150fps ur eyes can literally not process higher fps/hz so whats the point, but I get why lagging that bad is a complaint. when the game is optimized and the tickrate issues are solved, it will probably be 10x smoother.

Nah that's not how it works (in competitive games at least), playing with 144 fps on a 144hz screen is just not the same as 300+ fps on a 144hz screen, the game feels choppy and sluggish and it's like there is some sort of input lag or maybe at least if you have a 60hz/144hz screen go play a casual game on a map like inferno/ancient and go enter an offline map with bots (and kick them preferably) and you'll see the difference is day and night even though your fps probably won't drop below your screen's refresh rate in both cases, csgo behaved like this too but idk if it was as bad.

Played in beta, it felt weird and I had a hard time to adapt. Don't know if it was me or the game. Played yesterday, felt way better. Don't know if it's me who started to adapt or if they changed something to the game. But it feels good now. Give it 3 weeks and everyone will feel like they've played that game for 20 years

Result is the same, very quickly nobody will complain anymore. It has always been the same with CS. From the first versions to today. We're a very conservative community when it comes to gameplay because it's all about the feels, the sensations. Hand gestures and keyboard combinations feel natural and instinctive, we don't think about it anymore, we just feel it. That's why every change, even a small one, is always attacked by the community first, and then it's accepted after the required amount of time to adapt and become natural again.

Nah there is a legitimate issue with the spray and movement, it's not about getting used to it. It's just not smooth. Headshots/first bullet accuracy feel better for example and I never had to get used to it

For me the worst thing is "delayed headshots/kills". I don't know, sometimes it just feels like you get a kill and it's not instant like it should be... I've gained an access to the game on it's full release and honestly was expecting it to feel way worse due to all the negative comments spread about it. Fps is also good on max settings with my 1070 Ti.

So when you get a kill right after a tick passes, the kill is delayed until the next tick? Then what is sub-tick even good for? I'm kinda lost in this tick shit, the game just feels worse than GO

Sub-ticks is most likely client-sided. It'll register all your (and your enemies) exact inputs (movement + mouseclick) or lack off in realtime. But the feedback you get (from a kill fx) will only get registered at the next tick to the server where it'll compare your and your enemies inputs and calculate them. So when you shoot an enemy in the head it CAN feel delayed because the animation will only start at the next tick (64 times a second), so even though the reg should in theory be much more precise than previously (as it remembers all inputs from all clients on the server), the visual feedback can in some situations screw up your experience as it happens at the next tick instead of when it "happened" if that makes sense. 128 tickrate servers would probably mitigate alot of it as it'll talk to the server twice as much but Valve seems to think 64 is enough.

Depends on the map.. Mirage is 120-140+ fps, Inferno/Anubis/Overpass are around 100-120+ fps. Most of the time it's the higher value and there are no significant drops. It's honestly very playable on max settings native on 144hz, I'm happy with the performance. No drops below 100 fps and I'm yet to try any "optimalization guide". What you've described is exactly what I meant and it happens just too often. I don't remember it happening in GO, even basic 64 tick mm or whatever.

I see. I don't face any fps issue either. It's just the delay i mentioned. I didn't experience it before in GO either. Hopefully valve fix it soon. I always loved cs. it's just the current one feels off. I probably will take a break and come back when they polish the game enough.

Hit reg in cs2 feels way better, i honestly thought they increased the size of the hitbox when I first started playing. The only thing that still feels off to me (shooting wise) is the spray, which feels very slightly different to CS:GO's

It is very random. At times the hit reg is perfect, and then other times it's like your bullets just disappear into nowhere. I also get a lot of random headshots on the first bullet. I just got done with a dm session and I headshot a guy while standing still with the five-seven from 20ft on the first bullet, and I was clearly aiming at his chest. Sometimes I get these random first bullet headshots from great distances, and others I can be crouching, the person stood still, and i have a perfect headshot lined up, and nothing. Click, click, click, nothing. Then they turn and instantly one deag me. The weird thing to me is the first bullet accuracy seems to be extremely good most of the time. If my aim is dead on, I usually get the headshot, but spraying and bursting seems broken half the time. And I get no consistent feedback. I have a 5 ping as well, as I live in the same State as the server's on the east coast of the US. Also, I have a very good PC and the game runs nearly perfect. No lag, perfectly smooth fps.

the net code is trash because valve thought they could outsmart 128 tick. instead they just made the game laggy for everyone. 128 tick servers could make the problems better, but valve went out of their way to ban them lol. our only hope is valve reversing the 128 tick ban (unlikely) or everyone quitting the game and begging a billionaire like elon musk to make a proper csgo clone with everything we actually asked for.

Lag compensation takes a second to calculate who won the fight in online games, that's why hitreg is bad, sprays are awful. There is too much latency between client and server, not related to ping.

cs2 hasn't had time to mature into a gem. Valve perfected GO, would be surprising if they didn't manage to do the same with 2. Then again they just released a 1GB update where half the patch notes was them making the finger look shorter while holding awp. We will see...

idk if its just me but every time someone with an SMG flies across my screen, their model stutters rather than one smooth motion. I only get around 80 fps so idk if that is the cause.

YES. the game is a failure, if you have more than 30 ping it keeps stuttering, you cant even change slots sometimes, it just doesnt register. you press 3 for knife for example and then switch to main weapon right away, it stays at slot 3. Subtick is a failure. CS2 can be played on lan only or with 15- ping

I have played cs2 today after a week break and it finally feels like cs:go, not sure which update fixed it, but now when i drop a gun and shoot it, it no longers has like slight delay of jumping xD. Same principle applied for shooting enemies
