7 map pool

Liquid tried it and failed miserably. Which teams made it work? FaZe is one

Topics are hidden when running Sport mode.
Altho Liquid had one of the worst awpers in the top teams over the past 2 years so idk if its the 7 maps that was the biggest issue. Could have worked if they had signed someone consistent. They peaked at top 3 with oSee. Imagine if they had an actual good AWPer. Could have been #1.

They can play it and beat Mouz and VP on it in the past 3 months. Dont act like a cynical little dog. 7 map pool doesnt mean youre the best on every map.

No but it means that you don't ban it 5/7 times Almost every team went into CS2 with a new approach and tried out every map, map pools are still going to form, and it's pretty obvious that Faze still don't want to play Vertigo

Doesnt mean its not a 7 map pool. Its literally a part of their reportoire. They CAN and are willing to play it with successful results leading to tournament victories and wins over tier 1 teams. It doesnt mean you dont ban it 5/7 times which is arbitrary anyways. It depends on the opponent and mood. Its not their perma ban anymore since they dont always ban it.

This is a new game, very special circumstances. Faze show a clear bias against Vertigo, they're just trying it out. Considering their ban statistics, it's not gonna stick around. They didn't "make it work", they just tried all 7 maps in order to get a better grasp of their map pool. It's gonna be gone out of their pool soon enoug

It still counts bucko. Its a 7 map pool and they did make it work. Saying otherwise is discrediting the work they put in.

Guess I'm gonna discredit the work they put in then, because as I said, basically every team is testing out their map pool right now and playing 7 maps, Faze are just the ones that played more officials and matched up against two teams where they felt forced to ban another map(They banned Mirage twice against Mouz and Overpass against VP)

I feel like his point is that almost every team has a "7 map pool" because the game is new for everyone and everyone is trying new things, including letting maps float around in vetos.

Because its completely unheard of teams getting destroyed on maps they regularly play

faze sorta made it work, it worked against mouz the first time because there was no way mouz saw that coming, vp game was extremely close but yeah they won it no teams can run 7 maps consistently though, thats been proven repeatedly

I thonk FaZe can make it work because its a new game as well. Lots to discover and still evolving. Itll only be temporary but hey ig it still counts

yeah they can make it work but they cant run it consistently and expect it to work, its good to use every once in a while to catch teams offguard like they did to mouz but eventually it'll catch up to them
2023-11-21 13:12
very hard, I think mouz can do it

Liquid never actually wanted to run a 7 map pool, they just wanted to start permabanning vertigo and wanted to see if their nuke was better. Elige said this in an interview with I think dust2.us

Teams shouldn't rely on a static ban it is a poor way to game the system. Choosing to suck ass and not know one map limits the way you can game the system in your favor. Being a 7 map team, but having a preferential ban is fine, but not knowing one map or event being able to contest it isn't the most optimal way to adjust on the map pool. Instead adapting your ban towards your opponent will give you a better shot at winning the series, but in order to do so you must be practiced on all maps.

not sure if you bait 100% of the time or just have single digit iq

I saw Big with all maps played in their recent match up .
2023-11-21 13:16
if u dont have a 7 map pool, and its a 6 map pool, then you will always need to permaban that map thats just not the way she goes.. thats not how to win.. you cant be scared to play on a certain map.. all maps that are in the pool need practice or else you risk avoiding it forever and everyone will know you are doing it and will abuse u for doing so. and 7 is a perfect number, because its the length of the creation of GOD, and his creation is perfect TY JC TY JC TY JC
