Razer Deathadder - Lift off
Portugal haas-
I'm mad at all of you :( Pretty much everyone recommended the Razer Deathadder and I bought it yesterday. The mouse looks and feels great but the high lift off sensivity is getting on my nerves. I want to believe I'll get used to it but I'm not sure. After googling for the problem, everyone just uses a piece of scotch tape to cover the sensor, but that's something I'd avoid doing, having paid 60€ for the mouse. Did you guys use this trick or just got used to the lift off?

You're probably right. I'm using 800 dpi with 1000hz, atm.
2013-02-26 12:43
try 500hz
2013-02-26 12:44
I read that the HZ have nothing to do with the sensivity.
2013-02-26 14:14
if you do not try it and only keep asking it you will never find out
2013-02-26 14:22
alright alright
2013-02-26 14:24
You are correct. It doesn't. It's only the amount of "readings" the mouse does on the surface per second.
2013-02-26 14:51
try 1800dpi 1000hz 6/11 wsens 2.3 ingame sens, worked amazing for me
2013-02-26 12:59
That is the highest sensitivity i've ever heard of... lol I use 450 dpi 6/11 2.6, on a ZOWIE AM. The best thing about that sens that you have though is if you flick it you'll be able to do backflips. :D - Edit your original post with 3/11 then adv, lol... To save the confusion :D

2.3 sens with this dpi? ur using ur penis to move the mouse?
2013-02-26 13:27
i made mistake i wanted to say 3/11 :)) sry
2013-02-26 13:29
to get 1:1 you have to use 6/11 or you are scaling your mouse movement
2013-02-26 13:30
What the actual fuck has penis to do with anything ?
2013-02-26 13:30
helicopter sens bra
2013-02-26 13:31
ehhh
2013-02-26 13:32
Man, you kinddin, right? :) That's fucking high I use 450dpi 500Hz 6/11windows 2.6ingame
2013-02-26 13:28
Rofl, you use the exact same mouse settings as me... Somebody has good taste ;)
2013-02-26 13:33
yeah bro :D
2013-02-26 13:40
Is it just me or am I the only one using 400dpi, 500Hz, 6/11 and 2 ingame. So far it seems like my sens is too low, tho I do not feel like highering it.. :/
2013-02-26 13:58
I'm using 800 dpi, 6/11 with 1 sensivity in game lol
2013-02-26 14:14
First person in the world, highfive bro!!
2013-02-26 14:16
Probably not the only person man, I know people who use alot lower sens than that. For instance one of my friends uses 3/11 windows - 400 dpi - 1 sens in game. It's a complete mystery how he plays, but he's still really good lol. Anyways... Sensitivity is purely preference, nothing more and nothing less.
2013-02-26 14:30
wow, now that is low!
2013-02-26 16:14
I use 400 dpi 6/11 + 2 ingame :)
2013-02-26 16:21
High five! :3
2013-02-26 16:36
400dpi 1000hz 6/11 and 2 ingame

you should have got a Zowie, similar shape to deathadder, intelli 3.0 and with only a 1.5mm lift off distance (lowest on the market). and if i had of replied to your original post, I'm pretty sure i would have mentioned this. or i would have jsut said buy an Intelli 3.0 but yes you're right, the list off distance on a deathadder is poooor
2013-02-26 12:51
this.
2013-02-26 13:43
mate where were you when I asked for advice? :|
2013-02-26 14:15

Im using deathadder for nearly 3 years now, and Im incredibly happy with it, just do what the guys here told u too, lower the sens, and i think ull find DA one of the best mice ever made.
2013-02-26 13:03
Man, after 1 week you'll be used to the lift off(that in the DA you have to pull it higher than other mice), I have one for 7months and it's perfect

2013-02-26 14:20

2013-02-26 14:23
So guys, no one tried the scotch duct tape trick to solve the problem?

i did that with some of my older mice. It always worked flawless. Just make sure its see through If its still too high just add another layer
2013-02-26 14:28
Well you had to check WHICH DA are they recommending, because there are 3-4 versions of DA and all of them have different lift-off... Deathadder 3G - Avago ADNS-S3668 Deathadder 3.5G - Avago ADNS-S3888 Deathadder 4G - Avago ADNS-S3988 all 3 have different sensor and ofc different lift-off.
2013-02-26 14:29
What are you talking about.. Im using DA 3.5G with Qck heavy and i have no problems with lift-off distance..
2013-02-26 16:22
Update firmware! Select newest One without DC (direct control )!. I use DA 900DPI @ 500Hz @ m_raw 1 @ sens 0,75 and it works perfectly :) [ + razer gholiatus alfa control ]
2013-02-26 16:25
The mouse is meant to be used at 500Hz as polling rate and it's default CPi rate (900(?)), otherwise it's interpolating.
