Lol? I'm english speaking, and i don't understand russian at all, but i watch their stream because i hate the frog looking money whore guy saying "bring your friends to the stream, share the link etc" every 10 minutes.

rofl, you don't have to be russian to watch the stream...They simply had more enthusiastic commentators even tho i didn't understand a thing, and i enjoyed them being everytime where the action is unlike the nip stream..
why would u watch russian commentry stream if your not russian?...so many delusional cs:go fanboys thinking their game is getting huge when the reality is the viewer count on the english stream would be 10x what it is now if this game had the support of the cs community but it doesnt cos it plays more like a cod game.

i dont support this game, i hate the fact that cs in esports is cs:go.. the game plays like shit (and this is coming from somone who loved cs for nearly a decade.)
the true cs players, the ones that were there from the beginning and kept the community alive for years and grew the name to what it is today have basically all been fucked over, thats why people like me have so much hatred towards the game and dont support it or tune in for the live streams.

we don't care too much about the casters to be honest. they're casting it live from the tournament which makes it more interesting to watch and they have live cameras showing players reactions. the NiPTV stream is just too fucking boring to watch :|

majority of people DON'T do what you do though...they would rather listen to the in game commentary to understand whats going on fully (since it isn't always obvious just watching 1 first person view) and the English stream numbers being so low for the 2 best teams in the game going at it... SPEAKS VOLUMES about how popular this game is in English speaking country's.

The game is a huge failure... its had around 25-28k player base forever now, it isnt growing, if anything people are leaving the game and the numbers go up by a few thousand to hide that each time it goes on sale for peanuts on steam.

it isnt even remotely exciting to watch for someone that played the older cs games...and thats laregely down to most cs players having tried CS:GO and experiencing how little individual skill is involved and thus when u spec someone first person on the streams and they frag or get a serious of frags.... it isnt impressive.

it would have done better if they had actually listened to all the feedback they got on the steam forums while it was still in beta...but nope they ignored what the cs community wanted and instead made what they thought would do well...pretty much shot themselves in the foot because the game isnt a huge success like it could have been.
I mean nip have been undefeated for so long...u know why? because not enough cs players enjoy the game enough to put the time into it.

When the game was in beta almost all counterstrike players hated the game, so im sure there wasn't much feedback back then. NiP started long before many teams and have put more hours into the game but teams are closing up on them now fx VP and WW. HeatoN said in a interview like 2 weeks ago that valve is going to update the game and it will "blow the game up" in the upcoming months (he said this). Cs:go is still young if you compare it with 1.6 wich is like 11 years old.
And people asking for updates now are clearly not thinking, there are so many big tournaments coming up in the next month that it would be nothing but stupid to release a big update now, they should and probably will do it when there aren't big tournaments coming up in the next weeks from the update.

the game plays almost exactly the same since release and has been out for 6+ months now...no drastic changes have been made since then i dont expect them to come in the next 6 months either. You cant polish a turd and thats all they have reallybeen doing. They shouldnt need 11 years to grow this game, the foundation which was the players of the two previous games and the great gameplay that was in place was already there...All they had to do with this game was keep it close to how the previous games were gameplay wise and update the gfx... like dota ---> dota 2 or starcraft ---> starcraft 2 and they would bring over all the 1.6 and css players which hasnt happened outside of a few pro teams that want to carry on making money from cs instead of going and working in mcdonalds.

ok my bad, 54000 - 20 = 53980 Russians watching. I would love to actually see the stats of how many Russians were connected to that stream i bet it was over 90%... nobody in chat what speaking english.
So many deluded go fanboys in here. You know what? this game might become popular, but it will be by a new generation of cs/fps players (russians lol) not the ones who experienced the superior game-play of the games that came before it. Why would we want to play an inferior version of what we played for years?

i don't force myself to 'do it' i moved onto better games in the esports scene like dota 2 and SC 2. :) I still check out whats going on with Cs though, to see if its improved and worth playing like it used to be.. but still sadly isnt.
I'm not trolling, just saying why some ~100k 1.6/CSS players who arnt playing this game choose not to.. im not alone. =)

NO ONE GIVES SHIT ABOUT WHO IS WATCHING STREAM, IT CAN BE 2 MILLION AUSTRALIAN MARIO BROS PLAYERS, but i can say that couple months ago people like you were writing "game wont has more than 20k viewers, 75k cs 1.6 IEM RECORD", and now when stream popularity rised to 50k viewers u found new excuse that 25k of 50k viewers are dota2 players waiting for final, when u realized that it is not true, u found newer excuse - russian players were watching final, it doesnt matter how many people were on stream, cuz all of them are russians, stupid logic

Fact is the player numbers havent gone up thats what shows how popular a game is or isnt and for as long as i can remember its been around the 25k-28k mark... maybe a few thousand will buy it after seeing it on twitch today , to see what its like...and the numbers will drop shortly after like it does with every steam sale when they realise the game isnt fun to play and other games are more worthy of their time.
